This should almost be a pre-martial counseling book. The journaling format allows each person to think and write vs word vomit and the topics are important and build upon themselves. I’ve enjoyed learning more about myself and my partner. I was skeptical when I bought it but am a convert. Great for couples looking to deepen their understanding of each other and create a stronger emotional connection.

I bought this for my spouse at Christmas. We have set aside time every Sunday away from the kids to work on our journals and discuss. We’ve done the first two sessions and both agree it’s been amazing. We’ve been married 22 years and are still growing individually and as a couple so this is a good way to make sure we stay connected in our growth.

My husband got me these for our one year wedding anniversary since the theme was paper. We do the activities once a week and they really get us talking about subjects we haven't discussed before. A lot of times, we bring up great memories and laugh a lot. One thing I have found is that the lessons take us about double the time the book says they will, but I'm okay with that!
