leaks air, very cheap. threads only seal in nearly closed position so you get very little air or none at all. waste of money and time. find a different product.

Used this for a betta tank's sponge filter and planning to use these for a shrimp tank sponge filter! Overall they work alright as a control valve, but I don't get as much value in terms of fine-tuned control as I thought I would receive when using it.I can get some middle ground between no air and full blast which is good, and so far I haven't had any problems with the seal (have had it set up for 4 months with multiple moves in-between at time of review)!

These valves are such a good way to control the bubble output for my betta tank, and no longer will my betta be upset by the flow into his water! However, past a certain point in closing the airway, a noisy bubbling can happen (could just be my setup) that can bother not just you, but your fish as well. Overall though, I recommend this option instead of having to spend way more money on a different way of pushing out bubbles!

I really like these air control valves! The are super easy to install thanks to the tapered ends and work well in almost any diameter air line and work really well to adjust the air flow. I'm currently using them in all 13 of my aquariums. I keep mostly bettas, who do not like a lot of air flow in their spong filters so these are the perfect solution to allow just enough flow rate to their liking. Highly recommend.

Leaks air. Thought it was my air stone or air pump not working properly. Turned out it was these when I removed it. No wonder how much i try to dail the knob to disitribute the air evenly to my other tanks, the air drops dramatically. I knew my new air pump has enough air to power multiple tanks. Currently using tetra control valve that came with my tetra air pump, big difference. Unfortunatly they dont sell them seperately, you can only get them along with an air pump
