I bought this because I wanted to try making sauerkraut. I highly recommend this kit for any beginners to fermenting foods! My sauerkraut turned out great and I did not have any issues with the fermentation process! The price point is fair too!

Couldn't be easier to make great garlic half sours in the fridge. Better than my favorite deli. Also use them to store fresh picked strawberry's in the fridge. They stay as good as the day you picked them for three to four weeks as long as you don't wash them until you eat them.

I filled mason jars with veggies, water, and salt brine the day after receiving them. Fermentation was physically evident the very next morning. I'm one week away from my first taste test—I can't wait!

I needed something for a regular mouthed mason jar, so this didn't work for me at all. However, if I'd had a wide mouth jar it would have been perfect. I have come to fine, since this purchase, that it's virtually impossible to find this kit for a regular mouth jar. I have and will continue to improvise.
