This thing works perfectly! My ex is stalking me and he suddenly knew way too much about my day to day life. I downloaded an app which told me when my mic, camera and location were turned on and off and wow! I an ther opposite of a tech nerd and am mor like the models on zoolander "the files are IN the computer" then I smash the screen. Embarrassing but true. Since I can't figure out how to get him out I figured I would do my best to block him. I was sceptical but im so happy. The only problem is with me. I forget it's in and I answer a call but I can't hear anything and they can't hear me and I couldn't figure out what was wrong until it suddenly hit me. Duh! Total palm in face moment! I feel a lot mor secure now. I lose it all the time because it's tiny but it comes back eventually.

Exactly what I wanted. It blocks the microphone and internal speakers, but still allows Bluetooth speakers.

Les comenté esto y me devolvieron mi cuenta y nunca más me molestaron. Se nota que funciona, porque ya no me pueden escuchar y ponerme publicidad segmentada por lo que hable cerca del móvil.

The unit looks nice, feels well made and has a nifty rubber boot of sorts to protect the portion of it that inserts into the headphones/mic socket when it's not inserted. Pretty neat.The good news is that it worked great in my iPad Air 2019 model! Inserted it, turned off bluetooth and recorded a video with me talking. There was no audio.The bad news is that I actually bought it for my work-issued laptop, a recent model Dell running Windows 10 Pro. I recorded a video of myself talking and it completely ignored the product and recorded my voice like as though it wasn't there.It then occurred to me that I hadn't turned bluetooth off on the PC like I had on the iPad, so I did and tried again. It still recorded my voice.If you buy one, maybe buy only one and test it out on your devices. Then decide to return it, keep it or buy more. Just keep in mind that even if your device's stock camera app is rendered deaf by this device, that doesn't guarantee that malicious software won't ignore it and still have a listen.At seven bucks I decided to hold onto it just in case I find a reason to use it later.

The laptop literally recognizes this mic blocker as being a headset microphone and records everything LOL!I think you have to go into the settings to disable certain things for it to work...but that kind of defeats the whole purpose because it's not really a physical blocking of anything then...Because if you have to change the settings in order to "block" something, that means, theoretically a hacker (or whoever can remotely gain access to settings) can change it to gain access to same (?) I'm not exactly sure...but the way its described as a "signal blocker" makes it seem like it's physically blocking something to prevent sounds from being recorded. But based on my experience that doesn't seem to be the case.

I wanted to use this on my laptop (2019 MacBook Pro), which only exposes a single audio jack, and this device does not work for that. It blocked sound coming from my laptop but still recorded external sound.It did seem to work on my phone, so it's not a complete sham.

Use on my laptop. It does stick out a bit and I smacked it on something and it bent but bought another as it does what it claims.

Blocks all audio. Can’t talk with someone over the phone with this plugged in, but at least your face to face interactions are protected. Decent product for the peace of mind it provides.

I plugged the unit to my smartphone. The smartphone is supposed to believe there is an external microphone connected and disable the built-in microphones. To validate this I recorded a video with the Mic-Lock properly plugged. When I played back the video all the sound was there. I tried several times and it never blocked the microphones. Conclusion: Does not work as expected.
