Part of my routine
My hair tends to be very dry rather than oily. It's professionally color treated from dark espresso brown to a blonde and the texture is naturally full and heavy. So by the time I return to the salon, the ends are always looking a little unhappy. I like to use this oil to help offset any stress going on in my hair as it helps seal in some of the moisture it always so desperately needs. The scent is divine and I only need to use a small, quarter sized pump to work through my shoulder length strands. It does not leave any greasy build up, but makes it much more sleek, shiny and polished. This is a lifesaver on days where my hair doesn't want to behave and I use it on wet or dry hair. For the value I get out of it, it's definitely worth the cost as I find all the Sebastian products I use to be salon level quality and satisfaction.

Great addition to my Sebastian hair routine, my hair is BETTER
I am a Sebastian fan, and have been using a treatment for my dry ends for a while, so when I found my new favorite Sebastian shampoo here on Amazon, it only seem right to try out the ends treatment in that shampoo line. I am quite pleased with this treatment to far - it has been a 6 months. My hair is getting fuller at the ends - Yea! That is the goal. It also seems to make my hair easier to comb - although I started the shampoo, conditioner, and ends treatment all together, so it may be the entirely new regime and not just one product. My ends are less dry than with no treatment and this treatment has a gel like consistency, rather than an oily consistency like my previous treatment, I like this better. It does not take much - I use only 3 pumps for my fanny length hair. I did experiment, but more is not always better - too much (6 pumps) made my hair feel odd, gummy?, not smooth, so use a light hand, a little is all you need. It is a bit pricy, but since you only need a little each use, it lasts a long time - this is my second bottle, I bought the small one first, then the larger size - I kept the small bottle and refilled it for my travel case😉 since I don't intend to go without this even when traveling. As I air dry my hair, I can't speak to heat protection but this new regime has increased my hair's shine and general healthier and thicker feel and appearance. Will be buying this again! I have actually put it on subscription, so I won't run out.

If Paul Bunyan was a expensive lawyer in a television romance this is how he would smell
I went and told my hairstylist about this product when I started using it and was told by them that this is a good product to use, which is right of the bat a great thing to hear. The product is thick and oily in texture leaving behind a slightly sticky residue on your fingers when applying. It smells rich and nutty/woodsy to me, suiting a more sophisticated style. It’s true that the bottle is fairly small (~5in/13cm tall), but the product has lasted be a very long time as not much of it is needed for the effect. I used 1/2 - 1 pump when applying it to my hair (it’s naturally oily and fine so too much product weights down the volume). Overall, despite the high price point I’d continue to buy it in the future and use it as a special occasion product or wait for it to go on sale (they’ve done 50% off before) and buy it then to use more regularly.

Sebastian Professional Dark Oil
it smells like the original. Satisfied up to this point. People are complaining about expiration dates. This is how I understand it. That date on the box is day it was made, not an expiration date. Gallon jugs of water in grocery stores are the same way, date when the water was put in the jug, not the expire date. Now, how long this product is good for should be at least a minimum of five years if protected. Cool, dry, storage place. Not in the bathroom. It's like perfume because of the scent it has in the oil. The one i ran out of was five years old and scent was still good. It Aegean oil I think.I am not sure if the package was intended to be wrapped in cellophane wrap. Mine didn't have it either but product appears fine and I'm pretty good with fragrances. I know in a store where you purchase product, it doesn't even come in a box, just the bottle. Most things do come wrapped. you just never know. But if it did come with wrap, I'd sure like to know why it wasn't on there when I received mine. But like I say, it does not appear to be tampered with. Even if it did come in cellophane wrap, it can be removed and re-wrapped. That is pretty easy to do actually with the right tools. The reason I didn't give this a five was it didn't come wrapped. Otherwise I'm 100% happy to this point. Good product and great fragrance.

Unlike any product I’ve ever used in my hair.
I gifted another more expensive brand to my cousin. Hint: dust. Caught a half price sale and replaced it with Sebastian. And LOVE it! I started to massage this into my husband’s hair just about every day. He loves it now. It lasts a long time. Makes the hair compliant and refreshed, not greasy at all. And it smells great. Use it on wet and dry hair. Buy it. It’s worth it..
