These delightful frogs are on a separate arm that balances on the stake once you set them on it. While it initially seemed precarious, the bowl that you set the frog arm into is deep enough that the arm can move up and down a bit without coming out. Not a hard thrust down but a gentle push makes the frogs move up and down like a seesaw. Cute.I gave this garden ornament to two different young families. The one lives in a condo and wanted it inside until summer arrived on their patio. So they just put it in an inside plant container. It looks great. The other family has young children who were delighted with the frogs.Well enough made for the price. The surface of the ornament is a bit rough which just adds to the charm of it as a garden ornament. I would definitely buy again and I would now like one for my own garden.

I have a dragonfly similar to the balancing frogs but it is of heavier metal and sturdier stake. I was disappointed with this one as the metal was thin and the stake was too short. Though cute in the picture, I probably wouldn’t gift this to a friend.

I just love it, bought it for my sons pond. Looks amazing.
