So handy to just touch a lamp, especially with arthritic fingers trying to turn a small knob. Very attractive, fits with any decor.

The master bedroom décor received an upgrade, as a random assemblage of end tables was swapped out for some actual night stands. The night stands have pass-through AC and USB jacks, so it was also a good opportunity to add some accent lighting to the room. With anything in this price range you are playing in boom or bust territory, since photos can only tell you so much...The item was shipped adequately - everything worked, and there was no surface finish damage on any of the components. Assembled, the lamp looks great, like something that you'd definitely pay more for at West Elm or CB2 (well over double the price here). The operation of the touch-based switch is consistent. The light is on the warm end of the color temp spectrum, which suits the general look of the lamp. The look of the light through the linen-like shade is pleasant.I bought two of these, and am happy with my purchase. I would do it again, but there are a few things that I fell like I should mention:1.) the inside of the shade is not finished very nicely. I've included a photo that shows some detail. It's not a big deal, but on a lamp as short as this, it's inevitable that you're going to be looking down at the light from time to time.2.) the light bulb is one of those fake Edison-type LED bulbs. This isn't really a problem, it's just an odd decision. The shade is transluscent, but opaque enough that you can't see the bulb. The bulb works fine, I just would have expected a more conventional omni-directional LED bulb.3.) the power cable is a little chunky. This is really going to sound like a nitpick, but this device draws less than 5 watts. Your phone easily consumes 3 times that when quick charging... you don't need a 16ga or 18ga lamp cord for less than a half an amp. Aesthetically, a thinner cord would be nice.All of the nitpicks are exactly that. This product is attractive and works well. Highly recommended

This lamp is PERFECT as a lamp for a table beside a bed; that's what it replaced, one that was about 9 years old, with a small incandescent bulb that DID last "until the end." It was one of those "touch for 3 levels of light plus off" with a heavy glass shade. A few nights ago unfortunately I zapped it with what was probably a huge jolt of static and after a couple minutes of crazy attempts to light again the bulb finally burned out; I replaced the bulb, but the lamp was dead. I found this lamp on AMAZON and have to say it is a perfect - even better - replacement. The styling is great and so are the electronic details - it's just "on and off" but you tap anywhere on the base; all I need - plus it uses a 4 watt (!) LED lamp to give the equivalent of a 40-watt incandescent. Packaging was nearly like unwrapping an Apple computer product (if you've received or bought one of them, perfect, precise packaging). AMAZON and Lighting Horizon delivered it fast and in perfect condition. With an LED bulb - it should last a long time before worrying about a replacement, again because of the LED technology. I don't miss the "high-medium-low" settings of the old lamp, this one is perfect just as it is, the shade provides good lighting for a bedroom nightstand light without too much lighting! Best of all the FAST delivery exceeded the anticipated speed with which it was delivered. The lamp and delivery exceed every expectation I had!

I carefully researched touch lamps on Amazon because I needed the following features:- a simple on/off touch switch. I didn't want or need 3 or 4-way touch dimmers because it's annoying to have to cycle through to turn on/off, etc.- able to use most types of popular bulb form factor - LED, incandescent, fluorescent, etc.- inexpensive- reliableThis item met this criteria and my expectations. It looks fashionable, has a small footprint, does everything I needed it to do, and seems reliable. I noticed that in many touch lamps I saw reviewed on Amazon, the touch on/off feature stopped working after a few weeks/months (related to the 4-way switch perhaps?). But reading the reviews for this unit, that didn't seem to be an issue Happy with purchase. May end up buying another for the other side of my bed.Update: well, after about 2-3 years since the original purchase I finally started to have issues with the lamp. It would inexplicably start turning on or off on its own which I attribute to the nature of touch/dimmer circuits and the easy wear and tear they experience I'm assuming. I ended up buying another one last week to replace it. 2-3 years usage out of it is acceptable for the low $25 price.

I didn't appreciated until delivered that the lamp was for a 110V supply. Thought about replacing the plug and bulb for 230V operation but that would have fried the touch on/off feature. Fortunately there is a plug in step down transformer available that resolves all issues but it adds to the overall cost of the lamp. I fine looking lamp that I am happy to keep. Whether there is a UK version is unknown.
