Q: Will this work with the Fire stick?

It will not work on the original Firestick. It should work on the Firestick 2 if you buy the generic USB OTG cable that is posted in this link : http://www.aftvnews.com/amazon-fire-tv-stick-2-supports-usb-storage-keyboardsmice-and-ethernet-adapters-via-usb-otg-without-root/

Q: can i use this to turn on(power up) the Azulle Access Plus Stick? if so, what's the key combination to do so?

I don't recommend turning off the Azulle stick but rather set it to sleep so when you turn it up, just hit the Window key or that top button on the remote. It cannot turn the stick up if it is already shutdown.

Q: does this work with an ipad

No because it needs a USB drive for the controller to function

Q: Has anyone tried this out with linux? i'm running linux mint and this seems cool.
