GrocoARG-1000 Series 1" Raw Water Strainer w/Stainless Steel Basket

This is the third one of these strainers I have purchased.. They are a "Top Shelf", very well made raw water strainer.. The are just about bullet proof in its design and construction.. The strainer is removed from the top, rather than being in a cartridge screwed in from the bottom.. This makes it so much easier to maintain.. For raw, salt water straining applications, the bronze construction is a must.. And it has a large enough capacity to be suitable for continuous use, such as a raw water strainer for an Air Conditioner or water maker.. With a cleaned spare strainer basket on hand, it be very short work to swap in a clean strainer...They are not as easy to install as the simple flow through strainers are.. They take some planning and require a mount to be designed configured since they should not be allowed to hang free as can be done with the smaller flow through strainers...It really should be installed by a professional or someone with good design and fabrication skills.. When done right, they can't be beat.. flk k
