Needed one immediately!
So my Messermeister chef bag was over 3yo and the utility zipper pocket stated to tear at the stitching so I needed a new chef bag immediately. I've been browsing for a new bag and had selected this Noble bag as one of my choices prior to needing one. I searched for another messermeister chef knife bag but found that it is twice as expensive as this one, and being over $50 I didn't think that it was worth it.I'm a career cook/chef with over 20 years of experience but the restaurant in at right now I don't need my complete set of knives and tools. So basing my choice on a bag with at least 10 slots for knives, a few slots for extra Sharpies and pens, a pouch for other tools like my peelers, fish bone tweezers, shears and spoons, this Noble knife bag and to fit majority of my criteria. Upon receiving it today I found out that my diamond steel is just a tad too long to easily fit (18.2"), but that's easy to overcome so not huge a problem. One tiny issue is that where the picture shows small pockets for tasting spoons, mine do not fit as the handles are too wide, so instead that's where my Sharpies/pens are... I don't need a cleaver so this sleeve with the added benefit that it has velcro to close off the end it becomes an additional utility pocket where my shears can go so the webbed zippered pocket doesn't get the webbing damaged! So overall, this knife bag has many options with more than enough pockets for knives and utility tools! The durability is yet unknown as I have just received it, even though the material feels thinner than my messermeister bag which had lasted over 3 years of extreme use, so we will see... The best is the price! $25 is affordable for everyone and much cheaper than most of the other brands, but cheaper does not mean lower quality! There are metal zippers that feel like the YKK type that is butter smooth! So the high quality is there! (even the messermeister bag which cost more doesn't have the metal zippers!) This Noble knife bag is compact with a hand handle and a shoulder strap for easy carrying. As far as I can tell, this is a quality knife bag for a low price, so technically I could buy two for the price of one messermeister ($59) and not worry about if it were to ever tear or whatnot! I recommend this bag and will update my review if anything starts to break down...Lastly, this knife bag is much more compact than all my other previous knife bags I've owned throughout my career and it suffices my current needs. Shipping was very fast to Hawaii, like 3-4 days fast! (usual shipping to Hawaii is 7-9 days!). I know I'm going to enjoy owning this Noble Chef Knife Bag!

Pleasantly surprised
Frankly, I ordered this knife bag because it was the least expensive one I saw that looked like it had enough pockets to hold my knives. I'm not a chef, but I do a lot of backyard BBQ, so I have collected a pretty good selection of decent knives to do all the trimming and carving on various cuts of meat and veggies. I had been just storing the knives in their boxes in a kitchen cabinet, but the pile of boxes was getting unwieldy, so I decided to get a knife bag. Since I don't travel with my knives, I just wanted a bag for convenient storage. Much to my surprise - and happiness - this is a very sturdy bad that looks like it is well made and durable. It provides not only storage, but protection for my knives. If I had to ding it, it would be because my cleaver won't fit in the cleaver pocket with the blade guard on. But I have a BIG cleaver for chopping through bones, and with the blade guard on it is even bigger. The cleaver did fit in one of the other pockets, so all is well. Bottom line is that I am very happy with this bag, and even more so given it's very reasonable price.

Very sturdy
The bag itself is very well made, it has a room for all my knives and tools (8 pockets and 2 separate compartments). Working most of the time on offsite kitchens I need to travel around with a bag that can carry and protect all my babies with care. If a have to pick a negative point would be that the bag is actually very big and not so handy. Working sometimes on limited spaces I have the necessity to quickly reach my knives and tools, leaving the bag on small countertops. This bag when fully open take a lot of space and has a zipper that I wish it wasn’t there because it makes me loose time on an already stressful environment. Long story short, the access to your tools should be more friendly and less painful.

It just WORKS!
The beauty of this roll is in the construction, design and structure of it. The construction is sturdy, sound and robust, and though the knives are sharp, and will eventually, inevitably bite in, the tough material and sound seams give my confidence that this bag will last me a long time. The design is simple, straightforward, classic, but it’s also minimalist. I liked that it was low on the bells and whistles, because I don’t carry a whole lot. Better to have a full, perfectly designed bag, than an over-the-top, half empty bag. I have my meat thermometer in one of the tasting-spoon slots, and, in addition to my steel, I will be carrying a wet-stone in the cleaver pocket (I don’t have or need a cleaver) and so I’m happy that that is there. The structure is what I learned about from experiencing it. I feared that once I close the flap, nothing will keep the knives from jostling out of place. But two things proved otherwise: 1) the handle packets really hug the handles, so they don’t just slip out; 2) once you roll up the roll, ain’t nothing moving! It’s really well thought out—others design the same concept, but knives still manage to crawl everywhere! Not with this roll.I’m glad to say that I transported my knives, safely, comfortably, and, may I gloat: proudly.
