Update: I've tried four flavors of these bars: these, peanut butter chocolate, cookies and cream, and birthday cake. Ranking them in taste from best to worst: PB, these, cake, then cookies. The first three are enjoyable, the PB are actually fantastic and I'm not huge on PB. The cookies and cream are awful.Here's a quick description of these bars.Texture: Dense, a bit like fudge but thicker. There's chocolate chunks and little crispy bites in these that add much needed texture.Taste: Surprisingly good. These are a sweet little treat with a lot of protein that keep me full.Size: SMALL. These bars are easily half the size of typical protein bars.Overall, I'm a BIG fan of these bars. Will be buying again and hoping to find another good flavor. I wasn't a fan of the chocolate.

Taste good. Nice and chewy. Evenbthe chocolate on them is okwy--not great, but okay. A good protein punch for the calories and size. Low calorie as protein bars go.

Pure protein bars never disappoint with flavors and are one of the healthiest choices regarding nutrition value compared to other protein bars. Packaged to grab and go very convenient . They are perfect size for meal replacement, they are not too hard and are not dry by any means. The outside can melt if in warm weather do to chocolate outside.

These bars are pretty good flavor and they're just about the right size. I'm not going to say they are the best tasting but they are not nasty like most protein bars can be. They are also on the cheaper side so I think the value is definitely better here.Overall if you want a healthy alternative to many sweets with some added protein these work great. Many protein bars upset my stomach, these do not so long as I have something to balance out some of the sweeter flavors. I like having mine with a half cup of almonds, mix of salty and sweet.The deluxe chocolate is pretty sweet, the chocolate peanut butter is good. The chocolate chip is a little Bland and does taste the most "unnatural" but it's still a flavor don't mind. The Birthday Cake flavor is super rich/sweet so I personally don't like it. All flavors definitely worth a try.

The bars themselves are probably the best tasting and macro friendly protein bars that are available on the market for the price point. The Chewy Chocolate Chip flavor is actually pretty decent tasting amongst the other Pure Protein bars, not the worst (Cookies and cream is terrible0 or best (Chocolate Mint is my favorite). They do have a slightly chewier consistency compared to the Deluxe Chocolate somewhat similar to a granola bar instead of a cake like texture.My 3 star rating and primary criticism comes from Amazons pricing (shipped and sold by Amazon) on the various 12 packs of the Pure Protein bars which as of today's date (6/25/24) is as low as $15.06 for the Chewy Chocolate Chip flavor to as high as $28.37 for the Chocolate Mint Chip flavor. The average price for the majority of flavors is $17+ a box. Target sells these 12 packs of protein bars for an everyday price of $16.99 a box and has 8 flavors available which means there is absolutely zero advantage or price breaks to buy these from Amazon. Being a Prime member for going on 15 years it makes me a bit sad to see these "advantages" become less and less tangible.
