Q: Can you please describe or name the particular designs?

I bought several of the packages of rubbing plates for my 3 year old grandson. One package of plates is random designs (swirls, lines, bumps), another is leaves, another is insects and another is dinosaurs. He loves them! We use 8.5x11 printer paper and old crayons to rub the designs onto the paper. The first few times the rubbings appeared on the paper seemed like magic to my grandson! He thoroughly enjoys these plates.

Q: Would these texture rubbing plates be good to use on the gelli plate?

No, these are hard plastic plates with designs already on them. You would place a piece of paper on top, then use a crayon, pencil, or colored pencil to rub on the plate. Your design would then appear on the paper.

Q: Is this for one (or more) plates? What is it made of? Is the size of the plate 9 x 14 as listed?

Hi, I received 4 plates with a total of 8 different textures (each takes up half of one plate). They are made of thin plastic and measure about 9x11.
