I'm a 5'9" woman with a 44DD chest. Would a large be big enough for me?

I measured my husbands arm and around his chest and it was 54" . I would suggest measuring around your body as the picture shows and go by that. My husbands was not overly large for him and I believe he had the large one. God Bless
