I had used another kind of support for my wrist but this one gave me a lot of progress in movement and decreasing the pain.

After a trip to the orthopedic doctor I was told I had "Mommy's/Gamer's Thumb." They recommended I purchase this product. I was excited because the one that was in the doctor's office was over $150 (with insurance) -- while this one was around $30. However, in honesty people wonder why we have high health care costs... Well here you go, in office $150, online $30.Anyway, I had read that this product was tight on the thumb. I ignored most of the reviews and bought it anyway while also buying 2 more products. (You can always return, right?) I'm glad I bought the other products. As other's have said, this version is extremely tight on the thumb without the ability to adjust the tightness.My hands are what I would consider normal for a man. I've met very few women with hands larger than mine, but I have met a few men with larger hands. If you tend to wear a Medium to Large Man's glove this will be too tight for your thumb.What I eventually settled on was the "Vive Arthritis Thumb Splint." This worked much better. Several people have said it was cheaply made, but I've had mine for over a month and so far so good. I've been doing exercises (which you can google) to strengthen my thumb, and I have hopes to not be in this forever. So if the Vive lasts 3 to 6 months of use, I'm happy. Also it has endured several take ons/offs (at least 4 to 5 times a day), to wash my hands, wash dishes, brush my teeth, etc.Hope this helps someone.

Just right as far as rigidity. Could still wash my hand, kept alignment to reduce pain.

I have a normal sized hand for a woman and this exact model was recommended by my physician for thumb arthritis. The thumb hole on this brace cuts off the circulation to my thumb it is so tight. This is definitely not a universal size. The description says they also make an XL, but I don't see that one available. Back it goes.

Good thumb support with two options for metal stays, one firm, the other flexible. Superior wrist support. This is the best brace/splint for thumb flexor tendonitis.

Really well made, thumb hole really small.
