JUST DO IT!
I bought these speakers because I was tired of renting a subwoofer from guitar center. That adds up if your getting consistent business through out the year. I also did some reviews on subs. I was decided not to get one or two subs and went with these 835W instead. Which was a better investment. Louder sharper sound. Plus you can control the 15” sub in the 835W with the app if you download. Highly recommend downloading the app. Downfall is traveling with these because there not small so make sure you have a decent size car or trailer. I also pair these speakers with the QSC K12.2 speakers and they do well together.

The sound and feature quality you would expect from JBL
I would offer a word of advice from my personal experience. Use XLR cables and not RCA. I know it should go without saying but I've noticed night and day difference between the two.

I like them. I want more.
I love the sound, and everyone else does too. The slim verticle profile looks good when stacked on subs or when pole mounted. As for weight, I think they're fine. I don't have a problem lifting them up onto a height of 5 or 6 foot pole, but I'm a "big boy" I've been told. So slighter folks may need one more set of hands. Apps apps apps, whatever. I agree the JBL instructions and ease of setup in a bluetooth world is at its heart confusing. So...I don't waste my time. I push the button until the preset EQ matches my needs either with subs or without and I max out the volume. Any tweaks that need to be made are made at FOH like back in renaissance when live sound was invented by Da Vinchi. Fooling aside, I own 2 right now. And plan on owning 8 total in the next couple years because I love them. I have had minor buzzing on occasion, but keep in mind all the neon lights and poor electrical grounding that most run down dive bars have. When I break out my own power-distro and get my own electric on bigger shows...no buzz. As always use good mics, cables and boards and have fun.

Great sounding speakers
i own a a pair of these Jbl Prx835s and a pair of Jbl Prx 818 subwoofers. The 835s are a 3 way speaker giving it a better vocal approach than the traditional 2 way speaker. great for dances, weddings, and announcements. they are powered wich means no extra amps to carry . Enjoy!
