JRC Components Stealth+ Premium Stem Mount (for Garmin)

Great product. Returned because my stem angle.

I got this mount because the official Garmin mount doesn't fit properly on my tapered bars. It sat on an angle and was a little hard to tighten enough. I found this mount and it looked like the perfect solution. I know it does not support my Garmin 1030, but I never listen. It actually does work with it. The mount is very well made and installation is a no brainer, even for a mentally handicapped chimpanzee. I'm not quite sure why it doesn't technically support Gamin 1030/1040 but I would guess it might have something to do with the size and weight of the Garmin unit. The plastic insert that the Garmin clips into seems to be a little thinner than the one in Garmin mounts. Could that be the reason? I put the tether on the computer just in case. As you can see from my photos, I actually mounted a light. I don't think I would do this on a mountain bike, but so far it seems fine on my road bike. If the 1030 proves to be too much, I have other compatible Garmins so it wouldn't be the end of the world. For now, I am going with the 1030 and if they do come up with a solution, I will definitely get that and switch this mount to my gravel bike that I use a Garmin 830 on.

High quality product. I have an Easton stem and a Garmin Edge 1040 Solar. With the provided spacers, my Garmin fits well leaving some space for pressing the buttons. This unit costs extra because it is supposed to have all black upgraded look, unlike the cheaper version and is made from an aluminum alloy, rather than pure aluminum. However, the washers are not blackened, which, in my opinion, takes away from the look and should be provided, given the price. I bought it with a universal camera adapter which fits well in the unit, but it raises the overall price significantly, while the combo price includes a trivial discount. All together the whole thing looks great and serves its purpose. The Garmin adapter feels a little tight but it holds the computer well without any rattle. The mount/camera adapter combo is quite compact and has fewer pieces and smaller cross section area in comparison to the Garmin solution I’ve had. One star docked because of the washers and bc I think the price could be lower for what it is.

Not a cycling necessity by any means, but the machining and attention to detail with this set is super on-point. If you like bikes and bike components, you won’t be disappointed.

Easy to tell this mount is top quality from the moment you remove it from the packaging. Nice billet machined piece with some beautiful radial tool marks. Install was simple on my Giant TCR cockpit, fit was perfect using the included shorter spacers. Looks almost factory, and perfect length for my Karoo 2 head unit.

Simple clean mount, well made and sturdy

Easy installation, good quality and pretty light weight. Looks great with their optional colored screws. Good purchase and with the money.
