Good DAC - Signature Acoutsics CX Pro with 31993 chip
This is a good DAC. Reviewing this after listening music using this DAC for two hours. The soundstage and separation of instruments is clear. Bass is also crisp and sharp. Paired this with a Samsung EHS64 earphones for tests. It should sound even better with IEM (7Hz Salnotes Zero, KZ EDX Pro etc).Samsung EHS64 alone on Taylor Swift's Say Dont Go from 1989 album (FLAC Lossless) used to give a echoing sub-bass and it used to sound like the bass from DJs who play in marriage parties (which was good too...)EHS64+ SA Prodac 31993 = reduces this sub bass and makes it sound super clear. Vocals too have a punch and have a clear separation between the lead voice in the middle and the chorus playing in the left and right channels. Sounstage is also good.Build quality is ok ok hence applied two cable protectors to elongate its life. When connected to the USB A port (USB C to A connector is provided in the box) of the Windows Laptop, it gets detected as TTGK audio and plays sound thru that. It takes a few minutes to setup the device after it gets detected. It can be connected to the USB C port of the laptop too and works fine.Volume levels (personal preference) : VLC media player - 100%+ and Laptop Volume Level - 14 is good enuf for most songs. For best results - use this with a good IEM and play CD quality / Hi-Res songs lossless quality (16 bit 44.1 Khz/48KHz or 24 bit 96 KHz) in FLAC, WAV , ALAC, AIFF, M4A formats using VLC. DAC supports 32 bit /384 KHz.Good with earphones / IEMs with 32 ohm or less impedance. With headphones/headsets which have more impedance, not sure if this can deliver that much power to drive those satisfactorily.Overall a good product. Hope we have more such Indian companies making quality products.================================================This is better than Audiocular D08 CS Pro with Cirrus Logic CS46L41 + Savitech SA9302L in terms of clarity. Audiocular has tight bass but bass in this sounds better with a little more spread..I have purchased both but prefer CX31993 chip based DACs like Signature Acoustics more than Cirrus Logic chip based DACs.

Game changer for budget smartphones
Sennheiser HD 599SE , oneplus nord CE.If you are using mobiles that costs around 20k, probably audio quality from 3.5mm may not be that great.First impression when i pair it up with my sennheiser hd599 SE through oneplus nord CE, its just game changing. Wider soundstage , better audio detail and gives a volume boost too. Its very budget friendly and good performance. Recommended.

Not for high impedance/Line out
Purchased hoping it would be significantly better than the Realteks and C-medias. Packaging is pretty, but fragile. Mine came with a free ding on the front of the case. The codec section and the output jack are connected with a braided cable.Using on W10 as a lineout to replace broken onboard audio, with the bundled A-to-C adapter. First attempted with Creative Pebble, then with a modded F&D E200.Output is muffled and not particularly clean in midrange and treble. Needs EQ or speaker with bright top end, which the E200 is. Still, lots left to be desired. Compared to my earlier run-in with the terrible Kinsound ALC5686 dongle, there is at least no fake bass bloat and overall more presentable.Big issue is when PC is powered off, there is a massive buzz through the speaker, like a disconnected ground. Very disconcerting. On headphones, situation is totally different. There is plenty of detail, the bass is well-defined and the muddiness is almost gone. Tested with AKG K92, the details are etched, revealing plenty of fine detail and allowing the natural character of the headphones to come through. When hooked up to the very cheap iClever bass fiends, there is still some detail to be had and the bass rattles your eardrums.I'm not sure what causes so much difference, but I'm suspecting the braided cable. Braids add a lot of capacitance to the cable, and that might be among the reasons for this. At high load (low impedance) the capacitance is a smaller fraction of the load than at lower load (higher impedance) which could be among the reasons for the shift. I would normally take at least two stars off for the oversight and poor QC (obviously not tested with lineout) but the performance with headphones is really great - from memory it would be better than the Dragonfly 1.2 - so I'll cut them some slack.

Does its job, overpriced
The converter is good, it increases the audio level of my HD599, and connects perfectly, and I can switch to highest audio quality level in windows sound settings. I can now connect my HD599 with my phone/tablet/PC with just this cable.Cons: if you have a headphone with mic (TRRS) 3.5mm doesn't connect perfectly, it makes hissingnoises if twisted and loses audio, not a problem with my HD599 since it doesn't have mic 3.5mm jackThe braided cable quality is low, it feels fragileNo, it wouldn't improve the audio quality of your budget headphones, it will only help your high end headphone reach its peak potential that your 3.5mm jack cant give.Unless you are an audiophile with Hi-res audio supported headphone, you dont need this. But if you have one, this is perfect.

Best DAC but with proper Settings!!!
This DAC has the cleanest sound, but you need to disable any windows sound enhancements viaSounds->Playback->Headset->Advanced Tab(Uncheck all boxes) and set things to 24 bit 48Khz for optimal balance. This DAC is one of the highest rated for being value for money on hifigo site.
