Speck Products Candy Shell Grip Case for Nokia Lumia 1020 - White/Black

Pros:- makes the phone much easier to grip. Without a case it's fairly slippery.- adds very little bulk to an already large phone. Considering the way the camera nodule already sticks out the back, this case doesn't really make the phone any thicker. It does level out the back, but this is a good addition, because now the phone may lay more flat.- case feels very durable and decently flexible. I feel like it would absorb damage well if dropped.Cons:- would be nice if it came with a screen protector of any kind, even a simple stick-on sheet.- as others have said, more color/style options would be good. I don't dislike this one, but I don't love it either.

I've only had this for a week, but so far so good. I haven't dropped my phone, but it seems like this case will offer reasonable protection if I do, more so than other cases I've tried. I definitely feel well protected from scratches and dings. There's enough of a lip to protect the camera and the screen when laying on a flat surface. It's easy to take on and off (unless you utilize the camera stap, I don't so it's not an issue). The ear bud jack and charging port are accessible and not interfered with. My voice isn't muffled when I make calls like it was with some other cases for this phone. Picture quality is not affected by the case at all. The raised rubber lines make it grippy without being one big lint attracting piece of rubber. My only criticism, and it's very minor, is that it only came in bright white or flashy yellow. I'd prefer something a little more low key like black or gray.

This is a great case that has a significant design flaw that I hope the manufacturer addresses. There is no textured grip near the bottom of the back area of the phone.Because the phone's camera protrudes, the phone cannot lie flat while on its back. Rather, the phone lies at an angle with only the protruding camera and a part of the bottom touching a table surface. The bottom area of the back is smooth plastic, so the phone has VERY little textured area to grip the a surface and prevent the phone from sliding. In fact, while the phone is lying on its back, I can spin the phone in circles because the only grippy portion touching the table is the small grippy area near the protruding camera. The only grippy parts of the case are the black areas. All white areas are smooth plastic that offer no grip.I would recommend the manufacturer add some grippy texture at the bottom back area of the case, perhaps colored white to blend in and minimize the design distraction.

I was nervous to buy any case because a lot were saying color showed up on the camera photos. this case is the bomb!! i would buy again in a second. It makes the shape of the phone much better. turns it into a normal square shape instead of the awkwardness it is. the case is a hard plastic shell, nut not cheep plastic. and all the black shown is a rubber gripping and is raised slightly and ribbed feeling. its the perfect amount of grip! i don't feel like it over bulks the phone at all, but the grip does make it harder to just slide in a pocket. the front of the phone is exposed and i have yet to purchase a screen protecter. i do feel like the camera is very safely secure in this case. The phone charging unit goes in with ease, the case produces no problems. Buy this Case!!!!!

Lots of 5 star rating for this case and it deserves it. Of all the cases for all the phones I have ever had, this one is the best ever. The case makes the phone look very distinctive and won't slip out of your hand either. The lip of the case around the screen gives very good protection for it.If you use the wrist strap you will have a problem. The plastic part of the strap will not go through the hole provided in the case. Until that problem is solved the wrist strap must be removed from the phone to install the case and then have fun fishing the string through that hole again to attach to the phone once you install the case. This is a no fun deal. I used the appropriate sized drill bit to enlarge the hole.

2013 purchase Speck is the best ever case for any phone. It is now October 2017 I still have and use my Nokia Phone and it has been through major traumas. I have also had 4 iPhones all of which had Speck cases. Not once did my iPhones ever break because of all the major traumas. They broke because of apple upgrade screw ups or Apple just chose to stop supporting it. I now have a Samsung Android, with a Speck Case. I pitched all the iPhones and don't want another. In short Speck Cases are everlasting. Grandkids are using my old iPhone cases.

10 Days after use it is falling apart. The rubber around the camera lens is pealing away from the white plastic. This is not good! I can see this only getting worse. I'm a 52yr old man who takes care of his "Stuff". I know it is not me, has to be the way this was made. Guess I'll be contacting amazon.1st Day: Wonderful protection! I took the QI out of my nokia charger cover and taped it to the back of the phone and covered it with this cover. Works gr8!

Had one on my Lumia 920... phone fell out of my shirt pocket while on a scaffold and fell 25+ feet to a concrete floor... TWICE!!!Phone survived and has not a mark on it. Upgraded to a Lumia 1020, and this was the first thing I bought. Great investment.

Protective comfy to hold case that is not to bulky at all.Buy it.
