These shoes have worked wonderful for my nine year-old son when hiking. They are super sturdy and stable. They can feel rather stiff, so I believe that helps my kid, but did just want to note that. The color is great and very neutral. They are waterproof and his feet never got wet.I was very happy with this purchase.

I bought these shoes for my son, and he wears them every day—for playing, running, riding his bike, and many other activities that usually wear shoes out quickly. These shoes exceeded my expectations. They are very good quality; I bought them a few months ago, and they’re still comfortable, sturdy, and perfect for an active child. I totally recommend them and would definitely buy them again.

Merrels for under $30. Can’t beat that deal! Kid loved the fit and comfort of these sneakers. They were true to the sizing guide. Great traction and withstand the activities of a kindergartener in mud/water/grass.

Purchases for a camping trip with my six-year-old boy. The fit is great and it’s easy for him to put this on. They look good and are comfortable, but we have had them for about a month and a half and probably wears them 2 to 3 times a week to school. Fairly early, I noticed it fraying along the liner (see photo). I would say it was the way he was wearing them except my daughter has the same shoes (diff color) and the same thing happened to hers. The shoes are still fine, but the torn fabric You makes them look very worn and broken.

Update! Changed from 3 Stars to 5I got a replacement as the company considered this defective.I bought these shoes eight months ago, and my seven-year-old has only worn them for our trip to the park. Unfortunately, I've noticed they are beginning to show wear in an unusual spot. It seems that nothing is rubbing against that area, so I suspect the fabric may be too thin and is stretching more than it should when worn. The rest of the shoe is holding up great. I just wanted to share my observations!

These shoes held up for over a year and still looked good when I got rid of them when my son outgrew them. They were comfortable on their feet and held up to the rain and weather. Durable material. Not super light but not a heavy shoe either

will buy again. great support and also flexible. we have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable for an 8 year old that is active. he wears a wide so this was perfect. He outgrows them before they wear out which makes it affordable as well.
