The first time I got this camera I could not get it to connect to my wifi - so I sent it back. The company sent me another one and it worked. The nice thing is it stays connected to the wifi and keeps well charged with solar panel on top of it. It does detect movement and takes a picture, would be nice if it did video too. I know the Cloudedge app would take video. Tuya needs to have some more features in it. Unless the cloud service gives you viewing 24/7?? I don't know if I am ready to pay every month for that yet. You can get it to record on the SD Card in the unit, but I think it has to be running on your device for it to keep recording? But all and all it is a nice camera for keeping an eye on the property from wherever you are.

Quality camera. Solar is greatly improved from my experience with solar patio lights. This solar panel is so efficient. It keeps batteries charged at 100%. I bought two of these and the second one would only charge to 40 or 50% max even on the AC charger. This in no way keeps the camera from operating and never goes to zero. I asked the seller for a new battery pack but they just gave me a full refund. In short they gave me a free camera that works fine even with the lower charge. The customer service was just fantastic for this reason. The could have made me return it and pay postage. Awesome. No risk buying this at all!

Construction of the camera is good except the cover where the memory card is located has not gasket to fully protect it from moisture. The firmware/app does not offer motion sensitivity or constant recording when not viewing the app. Camera constantly goes offline unless you have your WiFi router very close. Motion detection only takes snap shots and does not record for a duration of time. Be aware that you cannot view anything over the internet when away from home.

I had trouble setting it up. There is NO OWNERS MANUAL. There is only a quick set up sheet but nothing in depth. The camera has features that i don’t know what they do! Like radar? I looked in FAQ and nothing is mentioned. I have a slow wifi signal where i want the camera. So it took a long time to get it going and it wasn’t good.I tried it somewhere else with a better signal and it works better.HD image is a lot better than SD. It is very clear and color are vivid.I don’t know how to delete the videos. The still pics i know how. But not the playbacks. Not in FAQ and since there is no manual….. I guess i will have to format the card to erase data.I bought a wifi extender for the location i need it to be. I highly recommend you buy this outdoor security camera. It is incredibly durable, and it is very easy to install anywhere outside of your home. The actual set up takes lesson than 30 minutes. I also really appreciate how amazing the customer service is with this product. Even if you have a quick question, a representative will email you back right away. They are very friendly and supportive. You can count on this camera system to keep your home safe and secure! You should also check out the other camera systems that they sell! I received the Camera quickly. The packaging kept the camera safe. All parts listed were included in in the box.Before you purchase this camera, read what it can do for you. The price is great for what it does. This camera fit my needs. I needed to install it where I don’t have power or a network cable (my barn). Make sure you purchase a SD card so that it can save the pictures and videos. Read other reviews and watch their videos.“Before You Buy:1. Only Support 2.4Ghz WiFi Network2. The camera will speak during setup, this surprised me. The camera is made very well. Time will tell on how it performs in the weather.The Tura app is OK, does what is needed. I wish I could connect to the camera directly from my local Wi-Fi without going through the internet. I sometimes get “Device is offline” and “Retrieving video stream” even though the camera is on. Make sure your phone has a fast connection to the internet. You do have to “play” with the app to see what it does. The “LED Lamp” comes on at night only and in “Color Light Mode” stays on all the time, not just when motion is detected. I read minimal battery drainage.Overall, it is a nice camera for the price. Solar and Wi-Fi with Motion Activated Recording, just what I needed. I do have their 4K NVR system and it works great.

Uses Smart Life or Tuya app. While lights, switches are recognized in Alexa, this camera is not. I did all the resets, power offs, and re-synchs Amazon recommended. Everything except this camera works.I think Amazon assumed since Smart Life works with Alexa, and this camera works with Smart Life, they would connect. I have not found that to be true.

camera functions great when its NOT OFFLINE!!!! customer service said it was too far from wifi tower but not the case having it next to wifi and still off line. customer service is excellent and we are still working on problem.
