Once upon a Time: Shadow of the Queen

Wonderful quality, and amazing artwork && storyline. Definitely going to buy the books that come after this one! Also I’ve seen the show quite a few times, so it’s refreshing to have stories unique and not just copied from an episode!

If you love Once Upon a Time you will love this, is amazingly well done, loved it, the illustrations are perfect, the story gives you another insight on the relationship between the Evil Queen and the Huntsman. I couldn't put it done. Honestly is just perfect I recommend them to everyone that is a fan of the show and even more of this two characters.

We love the Once Upon A Time series and I was so excited to see the graphic novels. This helps give additional storylines to the characters we already love. This book gives more of a background to the earlier stories from the Enchanted Forest, which I am figuring they do not have time to show on TV. It shows you where the history between The Huntsman and Regina, the Evil Queen really began.It gives you a whole other perspective of these characters.

I love Once Upon a Time and was happy when the graphic novel was announced. One thing I love about graphic novels is that it can expand on the universe and tell more stories the show is not able to do. This graphic novel does just that. It steps into Fairy Tale land precurse and tells the story of the Huntsman's loyalty to Snow White and what he is willing to do to protect her and her love ones. The art work is amazing. It is full of details and the colors help set the mood for the overall story. It is a quick read. Took me around 30 mins or so to complete. Without spoiling anything there is some plot points that make me wonder if this is going to be cannon with the show or going slightly AU. Either way it was a delightful read. Wish it was a little longer but overall good to add to your Once Upon a Time collection. Can't wait for season 3.

Even though some people didn't like the style change each chapter, I thought it was great. This is because each chapter is done by a different artist, and of course they would all be in a different style. This was fun to read if you are a fan of the Huntsman and wish that there was more with him, I do wish that it was a bit longer, because I really like the Huntsman, however what you get is more than the show, so I will not complain (too much)

Amazing graphics! Great story! Very good quality book. Very quick read though. I sat down and finished the whole story in about a half an hour. Definitely worth the purchase for OUAT fans, but it left me wanting more.

Bought this between seasons of OUAT to tide me over. I'm not very familiar with graphic/comic books, but I liked it. Fun to have. And it's not all Disney like the show has gotten. It's more like the first season of OUAT, which was my favorite by far.

I'm a huge OUAT fan and eagerly watch every episode and gobble up anything related to it. I'm also a life-long fan of comic books, so I was very excited to hear of this graphic novel coming out. I have to admit that once I got it I was a bit underwhelmed. The story was very good and fit nicely in the timeline of the show. My disappointment was in the artwork. Each "chapter" was illustrated by a different person, each with radically different styles. Some of them were good and others not so much. The inconsistency in the art was rather glaring and often took me out of the story. Even though it was one continuous plot, the art styles varied so much that each chapter almost felt like a different story. I don't regret the purchase at all since I'm such a OUAT fan, but I really, really wish they had gone with a single artist.

I have to say I was a huge fan of this graphic novel. I love the once upon a time TV series so when I heard about this I had to check it out. I was thrilled with it. I immediately bought the other Ouat graphic novel and will recommend it too. Nicely illustrated. It adds nice background story to the already loved characters and leaves you wanting more.

Once Upon a Time: Shadow of the queen is an amazing manicured comic. Great for those who haven't yet seen the show Once Upon a Time and also for those who already follow it. I hope we will continue enjoying with more numbers and we will see new stories about the evil queen, Snow White, the hunter and all the characters of the show. Great job!
