Noticeably good on blacked out vehicle/rims

Mild Deterrent Against Vandalism
These serve as mild deterrent. They don't lock. How they work is you tighten them with your fingers, then tighten them about 1/10th of a turn with the supplied hex key. This compresses the o-ring inside to give it some resistance against loosening. Combining that with the very smooth surface means whoever tries to take them off won't have enough traction with just their fingers. The result is a decent deterrent against pranksters and those obnoxious eco-vandals who brag about deflating SUV tires. On the other hand, those who don't care about outright destruction of property will have little trouble since they can just cut the valve stem or slash the tires.

Be careful with old valve stems when tightening because they can crack. The caps seem very well made and look great.

The tool will remove the mechanism that allows the cap to turn.
If you literally do it even a little bit off the Allen wrench messes up the ridges that make the cap turn. The result? You can’t take your caps off. Horrible and it wasn’t one thing it was all four of them that are absolutely the worst quality metal I’ve ever had the displeasure of buying. Avoid at all costs im in my car right now at the air station not being able to pump air because of this bs. Horrible. Don’t buy.
