This looked very neat, based on the photos, but I was unprepared for how thick and good quality it is. It really is 3D, especially the hat and nose, so it really shows up from the side as well. I'm a bit hesitant to nail it up, as I'd intended, but it has recessed metal screw hooks (one on each part) for mounting. I'll have to see how that will work; my concern would be someone simply removing it and taking it to their tree.To make sure it fit the knot on our tree, before measuring I made a paper mock-up, based on the 7 3/4" width given. I knew based on the photo that the 14" tall dimension couldn't be right, but figured that would be maybe with all the pieces jammed together, which is not the way it's shown, or would be used. It's actually only 7" wide (the top piece), and with the pieces jammed together, it's 14 3/4" high. But used normally, with the 3 pieces spread out a bit, it's closer to 15"-16". Not the 17" I'd figured on, but a good size nonetheless.Anyhow, I'm sure it will work out great, and am very pleased with this product.

I mounted this on a tree in my driveway last fall. It seems to have survived the winter fine. I've been advised by a friend who has tree decorations like this to check them every few years as they may need remounting as the tree grows.The detail is great, it's a wonderful character

This is a cute face and it is sturdy so should last a long time. I bought it before the kids came but I wish I had had more time to compare prices. They are charging way too much for this.

I ordered it and it came reasonable fast. I could see it one piece was broken in half. In figures since it just being hung on a tree, it would be ok if I just crazy glued it. We'll see how long it lasts up there. Didnt wanna send it back and wait even longer for a new one

the face could really be an enchanting addition to my yard but i can't seem to get it to hang. The holes on the back are all different sized and do not work well. It is sitting in my shed till i figure out how to securely attach it to a tree.

I am very disappointed with this tree face. The color chosen by the manufacturer does nothing to make the item look quality. I have 5 different kinds of very large trees on my property and could not match the coloring to any one of them. The curvature of the hat and beard portion does not allow a good fit for any of my large trees or smaller ones.

Looks awesome on movable wood
