Is this (Dorman 604-029) the actuator for the passenger side temp control in a 2012 Dodge Journey?

Not sure. It fits my 2012 200 though.

How do you know where to reattach the arm?

It only fits one way. If u look at gear on last picture there is a space in the gear that lines up with slot on HVAC door. Saying that though I bought this unit and it lasted 2 months. Bought Mopar one and it been in over a year still working.

I bought this actuator and had it installed and before the week was up it had already broke. Its says its under warranty, not sure how to access it??

This actuator is located behind the glove box. It is a real pain to remove. It is used to open and close your AC vents. When the part goes bad you will hear a clicking sound. I had 2 go bad within a couple weeks. After that I went to my mechanic and he replaced it 2 more times with aftermarket parts. A week ago he ordered one from the dealership and installed it. I was told by my mechanic that the dealer part was a much higher quality. Hope this helps.
