Bought this as a replacement for the counter on my Sentro Knitting Machine. The counter that came with the machine quit working correctly after one or two uses. A YT creator that I follow recommended this one so I followed her instructions and was able to install it really easily. It does need some super glue to attach the magnet, and strong, double-sided tape to attach the counter. You'll also need a small screwdriver if you choose to remove the original Sentro counter and put the extra hanging cord from this counter into it. But overall it works so much better than the original counter, and doesn't have that annoying clicking noise like the original. Highly recommend.

I'm using this as the remote counter for a water meter with a pulser, dry contact output. I bought it to have on hand since I knew a design flaw in the counter I bought with the water meter would cause its internal, hard to replace lithium battery to die in less than a year. So I didn't use it right away or test it. Almost a year later I did need it and found the counting to be flaky--wouldn't count consistently upon contact closure. I contacted the company via the Amazon email form. They quickly replied, verified that it shouldn't be acting that way, and offered to send me a new one. Having been so long (and the item so inexpensive) I would have been happy to buy the replacement. The new one works great and has an easily replaceable AA battery and is half the price of the other one. Plus very friendly and responsive customer service!

so there was no instructions but the two sets of screws on the back do have identifying marks. one set is for the magnetic switch (50/50 chance of getting it right first try). the other set says reset, and that is just a momentary contact to reset the unit. Other then that the unit works great. oh and it hols a charge even after you remove the battery. you will however need to replace it for use...LOL The thing just don't shut off but had it a month now and still going strong. Recommend it if your going to wind coils.

Seems to work in my application (home-made pickup bobbin winder). Interesting that it seems to work whether or not the batteries are installed (there doesn't seem to be an "off" - certainly there isn't an off switch, and the display is on whether or not batteries are installed). No instructions, and the battery compartment is difficult to open. It would be nice if it could be powered from a "wall wart" power supply. Maybe power is unnecessary - again, instructions would be helpful.

This product appears to be just what I thought it to be when I chose it to order! When used with my water flow meter it will count the gallons per minute of water used. Although I haven't put it into operations yet due to many circumstances, I assume it to do a perfect job. It will be the master readout of my special filtered water system to monitor three main filters. Recording the number and applying it to the individual filter when changed can track the amount of water used through that filter!

Please buy this if you have a knitting machine. You will be saved a ton of time. Soooooo much faster. Love this counter and easy to assemble
