what is the smallest size this fits? It seems the majority of reviewers are men ... is this good for a woman?

Hi, I bought it for my mom. She is 4'10", about 100 lbs. and it fits her.

Will this stay put on a 44" waist?

In the current iteration (rev1). No way. The one I bought last has the same size listed (28-44” or something. Whatever it is, it’s listed identically on both versions). But fits comfortably on me and its tag says rev0. When I hold the rev0 next to the rev1, rev0 is at least 6 inches longer. I wear size 36 (very snug) or 38 (too loose) jeans and pants. Rev1 barely fits and feels a little too tight. Rev0 has inches to spare. Caveat - I have an umbilical hernia which sticks out, and makes anything that goes over my navel tighter. But not a lot tighter, as it’s soft tissue and can be pushed back into the body cavity (which is why I wear this. Hernia support bands are too flimsy and soft to help me) I know this is old but I’m answering for the benefit of anyone looking for this Info.

Is this the best Lumbar Supports brand? The quality of how?

The quality is okay, but it is not the best brand. If you want a big brand and a suitable price, I recommend you to ZSZBACE. COM. I bought it. The Lumbar Supports quality is indeed much better, And it's discounting now

Will it fit a 42 waist?

Yes. I'm a 38 and there is plenty of velcro left for wider waists. I'm pretty sure it would go to 46 or more.
