I have a K5AA purchased some 25 years ago, and the this part DOES fit. However, I have found the finish of the replacement part to be inferior to the original. The original whisk attachment is entirely stainless steel, including the base, whereas the base of the replacement unit purchased May 2019 appears to be cast aluminum. We'll see how well it might hold up. I may also look to repair the original (one wire attachment came undone). **Q: Will this fit Kitenaid Model K5SS ?** A: I bought this for my Model K5-A, and it works great. I make a lot of marshmallows so I was curious how the 11-wire whisk would affect the amount of time it takes to whip the marshmallows because they have a very stiff and sticky consistency. It seriously is a game changer. Not only did it whip up the marshmallows less than half the time, it whipped them into a much, much better texture. I expected some improvement, but I did not expect that *much* of an improvement.
