A must buy if you’re trying to heat up one area.It’s nice and thick, hasn’t rusted on me yet and still looks new after 3 months of use and exposure.Just remember to put it BEHIND the knob control.It is noted in the instructions but reading reviews people don’t know how to read and accept responsibility for their own ignorance lol

A bit bulky to put away, It folds but you have to take all screws out which is very time consuming. It seems like someone just put it together without any thought behind the ergonomics.

Our original reflector shield broke during some high wind, this shield is definitely heavier duty then the original, works really good.

I too thought that the hinged sections would be easier to wrap around the round patio heater reflector as opposed to a single piece. The problem is in the U attachment piece - everything is at right angles - the patio heater reflector, however, is at an angle relative to a horizontal - take a look at the top heat reflector of any patio heater - it slants down like an umbrella. Thus, when you use the wing-screw to tighten down and attach this sectional reflector, the entire reflector angles inwards from the bottom because the right angle U attachment piece is designed to be at a right angle with whatever it is attached and tightened down to - the angled patio heater reflector is at an angle. I ended up having to bend each section down so that it was more vertical. I had ordered 3, and after the 1st one, I tried to return the remaining 2, but these items are NOT RETURNABLE - this is a first time that I have encountered a non-returneable item on Amazon - and we order a ton from Amazon. This experience will cause greater srutiny before ordering to confirm tht the item is in fact returnable.

easy to install and fit well over rim

Thought this would help with directing the heat. Can’t tell if that is so or not. The clips to hold the deflectors in place were not enclosed with the hardware or deflectors.

Really cuts down on the amount of propane while delivering more heat

Very time consuming to put together and not easy for women with nails but once it's up it's good. I do wish it attached with a clip instead of the screws though
