What grade stainless steel? 18/0? 18/8? 18/10?

I do not really know what grade stainless steel they are, but my wife and I are very pleased. We have 8 kids at home, and sometimes they throw their dishes in the sink. One side has a disposal, and if they don't check to make sure their utensil slipped into the garbage disposal and turn it on, it chews up the fork or spoon. So yes, we have gone through many. Comparing this particular set with others we have bought, we are very pleased with the shape, finish, sturdiness, and the actual size of the fork or spoon's head. We have others where the salad fork is too small and dinner fork is too big. These are perfect, and I usually don't say that about something, or comment about products. I will buy them again, if we can get the same set of forks and spoons again.

Do these bend easily? For example, if i try to use the spoon to scoop out frozen icecream fresh from the freezer (thats hard) will the spoon bend?

No, they are actually really sturdy and a great product

Are these the smaller forks and spoons?

No they are not. They’re just the regular size spoon and forks.

Has anyone else found they came with a weird coating or oil? What is that and did it wash off?

No coating or oil on mine but I did wash them as I do for anything new.
