Great Edging for DIY hobbiest
i bought this for a DIY project i made with ply wood. This edging was easy to use, glued to the edge quickly using an iron. it was easy to trim the sides to fit. The color was very close to the plywodd and stained very well.

This stuff is cool
I never heard of preglued laminate before, what a great idea.

Good product
It is a good product. Not excellent but good enough for the price. Some parts didn’t have enough glue to stick, that’s why I only gave it 4 starts. The parts that did stick, are still there.

Don't get the glue on your iron!
The shiny side is the glue side!

Would not accept a finish.
The banding applied easily and adhered well but would not absorb the tung oil that I used to finish my project with. The specs imply that this product is a real wood veneer but I suspect that it's not.

Great stuff if you know what you’re doing
I honestly don’t understand why there’re bad reviews of this stuff, it matches Birchply from Home Depot perfectly, I ordered 3/4” and there was just enough overlap to sand, but For the people who don’t know how to apply this what you’ll want to do is get a sander and clean up the surface make sure the starting end is square I recommend a sharp set of scissors to get started, any household iron will do just make sure you don’t have it on steam and if possible a roller to distribute the glue once it’s warm, measure out how much material you’ll need but cut an extra 1/4” or less for error, at the starting end use your iron just enough for the glue to melt and hold your edging, once everything is lined up use heat until the glue is pliable and use the roller to get a nice even surface after it’s all done use 220 grit to get rid of the excess glue or a new razor for a professional finish. Definitely a recommended product( fyi the first picture of the edging was not stained hence the color difference)

Worked very well ,
It was just what I needed to repair a vintage doll buggy that the edges had become broken .

Not the same product as previously purchased, but had to use it to get the order completed
I purchased this the first time in 3/2023, the product grain and color are completely different compared to the 5/2024 batch. I would expect a slight change, but this grain has very little to no definition in the grain. Looks like the tree didn’t have any branches or knots. The latest product looks like White birch compared to the previous that looked like Baltic birch. Also the width of the product was narrower and with less glue making it difficult to get the banding to adhere to the plywood edge. When stain was applied the product was pulling off of the plywood edge and I had to heat again to get it back down and in some cases I had to use wood glue. I haven’t added a clear coat finish yet; I am very concerned that it will pull off again during this process. I will not order this again, can’t afford the extra time managing the issues that come with this product. I was going to use some of the previous product with this product, but they are so different that the piece that I am working on would have looked awful due to the mismatch. Now I have about 20 feet of two different products and will not be able to use either on the next build. Some consistency is expected from the supplier.
