Great flavor
I was introduced to Mexican vanilla 4 years ago and it changed my baking process for vanilla. Back To Basics Pure Vanilla Extract is my choice for baking as it is not alcohol based and the flavor seems to permeate the item being made, such as an oat muffin. The price is very good also. Thank you.

Good product
I really like this brand of vanilla. Tastes and smells authentic. I used in my porridge, my cacao and in baking and smoothie. Great valve for my money. I will definitely buy it again.

The real deal for pennies to the buck!
There is no question that Mexican Vanilla is the king of vanillas; but only confusion and ignorance to doubt it and believe otherwise! Read a little and you might learn that vanilla is authentic to Mexico and not to Africa or the Pacific Islands. I believe that would be "immitation" vanilla extract. To get a liter of authentic Mexican Vanilla Extract for under $20 is a true bargain.

Please don’t buy this.
I read the bad reviews. I thought how bad can it be? It’s a fair price. No, please don’t buy this. I can’t use it for ANYTHING!I’ve been using vanilla extract for many years. This isn’t vanilla! It smells and tastes like stagnant water. Please don’t waste your money. It is worse than you can imagine. I wish I could give it zero stars.

Purchased because it was listed as “pure”
Not impressed with this flavoring. No aroma, taste is mediocre. What I have purchasedwhen touring Mexico is superior to thisand a real bargain. I will try another brandto compare the next purchase. JEH. Fla.

Hate then Love
Was Looking for affordable vanilla extract since I started putting it in daily coffee.Apparently In US "extract" must use alcohol... This is made in Mexico in water with no alcohol. With alcohol, you smell a strong vanilla but not with water. So I thought I got ripped off... a dirty bean in dark water for the gringo !!BUT... After a few days of adding to my coffee..I love it -- Even more than the US Alcohol based extract that now smells strong but with alcohol/astringent quality. Strange. US is sharp/astringent... Mexico is soft dark and musky and.. Delicious.A little research and you'll see the vanilla orchid is native to Mexico... So chances are they know how to use it.I also bought some beans to soak in alcohol to see how that turns out... Easy to make your own extract and perhaps a bit cheaper still. But till then this is great.

Best vanilla ever!
This is a re-order; great baking product. Am gifting one bottle to a friend for her birthday. Too good not to share!

Bottle arrived with security seal open
I obviously didn't use it and got a refund from amazon. But for sure it didn't smell like pure vanilla or whatever they claim.

Used to make vanilla ice cream. Expensive but a weak and poor taste.

Happy with the quality
I'm pleased but not overwhelmed by the product. Side by side comparison to a pricier product, it simply does taste or smell as good. It is however a good quality product at a reasonable price.
