A little marvel
I've been looking for front panel for 1.5 months. Thanks to Amazon I tried 7 devices, 3 of them twice (giving them second chances). They all had some problems: ports not working, Device Manager reporting Code 41 (Unknown USB Device Link in Compliance Mode) or Code 47 (Windows cannot use this hardware device), and the most egregious - poor power management: computer cannot be shut down, sleeping computer cannot be awaken, computer requires "double shut down", computer never goes to sleep. This marvel doesn't add any new devices to the list of Device Manager, no undesirable side effects, all ports work as described.More to that. I went through all reviews and complains have been fixed: it fits nicely into allocated space ( there were complains it's too wide), markings fixed (USB3.0 instead of USB1 and USB2).It matches exactly my front panel, not only a color but even a texture the same.

Works!
This USB 3.0 port addition to the front of my tower PC works (so far). I haven't had a chance to determine any speed difference relative to my rear USB 3.0 ports (faster would be nice, but not expecting it). Remember, you need a USB 3.0 connector on your motherboard. Having the 2 USB 3.1 connectors might come in handy, later.

Works great, but fits a bit too snug.
My tower computer had USB (1.1) ports on the top, THE TOP, what a terrible place for it. I really needed the front mounted USB, and why not go up to the current 3.0/3.1c standard. This works perfect!! High data transfer speeds on all ports (tested with hard drives, and android phones). My only minor complaint is that it didn't quite fit in the mounting bracket I had. I actually put it in a 5" slot, and found that it didn't quite fit my converter bracket. I thought the bracket was the problem at first, but just tried fitting an old 3.5" floppy drive and found that worked fine. So the USB Panel hub was just a bit too big. The fitting problem came from the plastic plate at the front, by shaving it down just a tiny bit on each side it fit into my bracket with no further trouble. I did not have to shave down the top or bottom. This will vary from computer to computer, but the USB 3.0 plug in on my computer was very difficult to reach. I ended up having to take out a hard drive to plug in the cable then put the hard drive back in. Not a problem with this product, but it is something to be aware of. Look into your rig before you purchase one of these. Make sure you have a 20pin USB3 port on your mother board, and that you can actually get to it.

Badly engineered, requires extraordinary measures
This was just the wrong thing to buy.Reason 1: The metal case doesn't fit any standard-sized 3.5" front panel opening. I tried it into different slots with the same problem. The way the case is designed, the metal is folded over at the corners; but that makes it too wide to fit into the slots by the width of the metal on both sides. Was probably designed this way, and manufactured to specs. So, bad X 2. I took extraordinary measures to get it to fit into the slot, and eventually got it in. Then I found ...Reason 2: I have a a six-year-old computer, and it doesn't have any USB-3 ports. What I didn't realize is that, USB-3 requires a special plug on my motherboard, which my old computer does not have. So, after all that effort to install it, I couldn't use it with my new computer; and the extraordinary measures - I assume - make it unreturnable.I gave it one star based on that; but two-stars on the guess that, it would probably work if you get it installed.

Type C is not superfast C
Type C is not super-fast interface, my Windows 10 PC is constantly telling me when I plug something into the Typc C ports that it could perform faster if I used a super-fast TYPE c

Perfect Addition for Custom Build
I always build my on PC's. I needed this product to support advanced ports on a midtower ATX that I already had, but didn't have the updated USB ports. This solution was perfect for my needs.

Worked well
It worked just fine. I had to do a little bit of "fabrication" to make it work in my case, but after that it was just fine.

Simple & Easy Way to Add USB 3.0
I am overall very satisfied with the quality of this add-in USB 3.0 hub.Pros:-The ports appear to be sturdy enough to handle everyday usage.-The add-in is simple enough to install, did not require any extra driver installation (Windows 10).Neutral:-The materials, while not "premium," do the job and I am not in fear of the product breaking.Cons:-The text on the USB A ports is confusing. Instead of labeling the ports "USB 1" and "USB 2," both ports should be labeled "USB 3.0" as a user may think the ports are only for older USB standards.Notice: You must make sure your computer has the 20 USB 3.0 connector either on the motherboard or with an add-in PCIE card. This will not work otherwise.Overall, I can recommend anyone looking to add USB 3.0 Ports to a computer's front panel, and it is a good value for the money.
