Simple as a hammer
Well, it's as simple as a hammer. No frills just goodness. Works well to help brake in of the ball glove and placement of pocket. Will last a lifetime unless you have a Lab.

Works As Advertised
This is a smart product and is good quality. It was easy to use and seems to work really well in helping break in your baseball glove and create a good pocket for the ball.

Only for gloves, I swear
I only use this for baseball gloves. I promise. It certainly isn't something I'd use on my heavy bag or for home defense. No matter how solid it's constructed and how good the weight distribution may be...

Perfect, way better than I expected given the price
Perfect for the job. I'm impressed with the construction considering this is one of the cheaper models. The description says beech hardwood, which makes sense because it is hard! This thing would double as a billy club and do some real damage in a pinch.Down to brass tacks, here is what we did to break in two gloves in short order:1) heat a pot of water to 150F2) pour over the glove outside and in to get the leather wet and hot3) beat the piss out of the pocket and "seam" (where the glove closes) inside and outside. Be sure to be careful around any plastic since most gloves have a Velcro clasp4) while wet, use the opportunity to stretch the lacing connecting the fingers5) while wet, loosen up the bottom of the glove by holding it upside down and rolling the opening back and forth6) while wet, shape the glove how you like it. I like mine a little more flared open so I bend the fingers a little bit out. Some like theirs with a tighter cup7) continue to beat the heck out of the pocket8) play catch. We did this whole still damp, and put the glove over the AC vent when not in use to speed drying. This wet and dry probably isn't great for the leather, but oh well9) repeat. We did the process twice, and it definitely helped to do it a second time
