I guess you don't realize just how much space connections take behind the plate. It did not register in my brain that this is a CLOSED-BACK box, so it's gonna be a challenge to use pass-through connectors for low voltage HDMI and CAT6 connections, you would need to cut holes or cut off the back, no bueno. Returning it. Not their fault. This would have been a fantastic high-quality solution otherwise.

What a life saver. The product is easy to install and it looks great. All my cords plug into it and it keeps my wall clean of cords hanging all over the place. Would recommend it to anyone

3 gang box worked well. Retrofitted to stud above fireplace when I installed new tv. No problems, seems really well built. I had no problems with the small screws stripping either. Worked fine even after I had to remove and reinstall because I forgot to add the low voltage divider.

This is just what I needed. It has an innovative design, allowing it to be used pre- and post-construction (mounted to stud or inserted into drywall). The box is rigid, and the punch-outs are made well. It has extra grommets (I'm not sure why they elected to pre-install two grommets in the left-most gang, but it worked okay in my particular installation). All-in-all, good quality at a reasonable price.

Heavy duty construction with a clean look. This works perfectly behind my fireplace and receiver. Its very deep (4 inches) so I had to cut through both sides of my prefab walls. It seals the cold air out and I am able to switch in another standard size face plate (with home theater printing). Will definitely buy more of these recessed boxes if I have a second 8.1 or 3 gang requirement. Remember, Its for very deep wall applications.

This was a very simple install. The depth fits with standard 2x4 walls. In that respect there are no complaints at all. However the faceplate that's included, appears to be for GFI receptacles and does not work with standard receptacles. They simply do not fit. In the big picture, it doesn't really matter because the box will be hidden and behind the TV. I've attached a picture of the box with the two receptacles. I did make one change and installed an additional receptacle in the space that is covered with the blue masking tape. The new receptacle is actually shaped like an GFI, but it is actually a regular receptacle with two USB ports. Is recommended that you do not use USB ports on the back of the TV because they generally do not have enough amps to push devices and can burn out. Also, during a dry fit we discovered that the plug and of our USB fire stick, just slightly stuck out past the depth of this box. Using the receptacle with the USB ports alleviated that problem. I did not take a picture of that receptacle before hanging the TV permanently; and I am not going to remove it for the sake of this review. Lol I did take a picture of another one that I had installed elsewhere (attached). So if you can find one of these receptacles, I highly recommend adding them as well.

I was upgrading my AV in the man cave and purchased this product to provide power and route cabling behind my TV. Well constructed, easy to install and looks great as a finished product and install. Could have used a cutting template but instructions were well written and understood.

I wanted a clean looking wall plate for my power outlet and media cables for my wall mounted HDTV. This recessed outlet did the job. I was able to have a power outlet, coaxial hookup, hdmi, and ethernet cables fit perfectly behind the TV. The box fit very securely to the sheetrock and I had no problems with the install. Will buy another if needed.

Love this, it reassessed my appliance cords on my coffee bar and ran my CO2 line in the divided compartment easy to install , looks amazing! I highly recommend this

Good quality product just did not include a ground wire for Canadian code.
