Mini vroomvroom!
This car is awesome! I was honestly sketched out by its lack of reviews/purchases but it was completely worth it. I got my man his dream car for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. The attention to detail alone is amazing. The lights turn on when you go forward/reverse, and this thing is FAST! I can't wait to get more so we can race. Four stars ONLY because it scuffs pretty easily on impact (it has a gorgeous matte black finish) but then again, this thing is no safe queen!

Maximum Velocity in Miniature: My Hands-On Experience with the CMJ Audi R8 GT
Getting my hands on this 1:24 scale replica of the Audi R8 GT was surprisingly exciting, even for someone who has handled everything from high-end hobby grade truggies to shelf-queen diecasts. Right out of the box, the first thing that struck me was the sheer visual fidelity of this "Limited Edition Black" model. The matte and gloss finishes are spot on, capturing that aggressive, low-slung stance of the actual German supercar. It doesn’t look like a cheap toy; it looks like a miniaturized beast waiting to be unleashed. I appreciate that there were no complicated antennas to screw in—just a sleek, aerodynamic body. However, do yourself a favor and have a stash of AA batteries ready before you gift this or crack it open yourself. It takes three for the car and two for the controller, and they aren't included. Once I popped those in and secured the compartments, I was ready to hit the "track" (aka my hardwood living room floor). Driving this machine is where the real fun begins, and the 2.4GHz frequency system is the MVP here. Unlike older RC cars that run on 27MHz and glitch out if someone sneezes near the remote, this connection felt locked-in and responsive. I tested the range, and I was easily able to send it skittering down the hallway and into the kitchen—about 60 feet away—without losing signal. The throttle response is punchy for a car of this size; hitting the top speed of roughly 4 mph feels surprisingly fast when you are navigating around chair legs and dodging pets. I also love that this frequency allows you to race multiple cars at once. If you have two kids (or competitive adults) wanting to go head-to-head, you won't have that annoying cross-talk where one controller accidentally drives the other car. The handling nuances are what separate this from generic bargain-bin RC toys. I immediately noticed the car pulling slightly to the left upon my first launch, but I was pleased to find an adjustable front wheel alignment dial on the chassis. A quick tweak fixed the drift, and I was driving dead straight lines. The spring suspension system is a nice touch, helping to absorb the transition from hardwood to low-pile rugs, though I found it definitely performs best on smooth, hard surfaces. The rubber tires provide decent grip, allowing for some controlled drifts around corners if you time your turns right. Plus, the working LED headlights aren't just a gimmick; they actually cast a cool glow during evening drive sessions, adding a layer of immersion that really sells the "supercar" experience. Ultimately, this little Audi R8 GT punches above its weight class in terms of smiles per hour. It strikes that difficult balance of being durable enough for an 8-year-old to crash into baseboards while being detailed enough to look great parked on a shelf when the batteries die. It’s not going to handle gravel driveways or tall grass, but as an indoor racer, it is top-tier. The combination of the licensed styling, the reliable 2.4GHz tech, and the tight turning radius makes it a fantastic option for anyone looking to gift a slice of automotive excitement. It’s rare to find a remote control car at this scale that feels this polished, and I can honestly say I’ve had more fun drifting this around my kitchen island than I expected.

Broke Christmas Day
Had to send back, worked for about an hour then the car stopped responding to the remote. Changed batteries on both and still no response. Sent back, ordered another same brand and it broke on day 2, disappointing

The joystick remote is kinda a lie
So the main reason I buy this is that it has a joystick controller, therefore I can control the steering and speed. But it turns out it's just a fake analog joystick and it has a button click thingy that commands the car when that button clickes, which really sucks because I don't want to drive it at a specific speed. The overall car is ok, but more for the aesthetic, the motors and such looks the same, better be display car than toy car.
