This model runs as expected, however be advised that it is designed to operate a dual sink with two garbage disposals simultaneously. As the device has two live plugs, they do not operate individually. Once either one or two appliances are plugged in, the air switch turns both on and both off.I expected this to operate independently like InSinkerator's dual switch to accommodate both a hot water maker and disposal, where the hot water plug would be on constantly live and disposal plug operated by the air switch to turn on/off.

I am finding that I am not alone about this product when I say "I wish I read and understood the description better" when it comes to the "additional" electrical plugs. I didn't understand that BOTH electrical connections are both on or both off when you activate the switch. I was "expecting" to be able to plug in a reverse osmosis UV connection in one of the plugs- THAT'S when I finally realized that they both only work when you use the air switch. I will have to own it since I made assumptions and didn't ask questions before I bought it... but I will have to swap it out for a different unit since I have a limited amount of space in that cabinet and can't spare the extra space the plug box takes up if it doesn't do what I was hoping for. As an air switch, it does work as intended, so I really don't have anything bad to say about the product itself.

Was recommended this by my electrician. Rather than needing to install an extra outlet to turn on my garbage disposal I just set this up and it works perfectly. Getting lots of compliments on it already!

This is one of the coolest add-ons we have in the house. I love just pushing this button to start the disposal versus flipping a light switch. We didn't need to run any additional electrical wiring for our disposal.

Easy to install after the hole is cut. Remember if the item says it is 1 1/4", you have to drill a hole 1 3/8" to accommodate the inset.After that it is a piece of cake, took may be 15 minutes to yet the disposal working without opening the cabinets.

Beware - the switch that mounts in the sink/countertop calls for a 1 1/4 inch hole. If a larger hole is used (mine was 1 1/2 inch, a standard size) the instructions call for using the optional steel washer with the rubber washer. The optional steel washer is not included and a standard steel washer from the local hardware store is too thick and will raise the switch too far from the mounting surface. Also BOTH of the double outlets are operated by the switch, so you can't use the second outlet for anything that needs constant power. Pretty useless feature unless you have two disposals that you want to operate at the same time. Different manufacturers selling double outlet configurations indicate their second outlet is always live, I suggest you go with one of those.

My plumber, who was installing a new sink, faucet and garbage disposal did the installation for the switch and he said it was easy to do. I'm very grateful for this product because otherwise I would have had to have an electrician install a new wire for a wall switch. You can put the button anywhere. I had mine installed to the right of my sink. I could have installed this myself, but since my plumber was already there for a disposal installed, I had him do it. I love this switch!

Real easy to install and so much easier to hit the button on the sink than reach across the counter every time. It’s less than half the price of a name brand unit I saw at a big box store.
