Great grip for Nikon Z, makes it easier to hold the camera and it’s really easy to fit

Excellent piece of kit!
I'm in two minds about whether the Zfc needs a grip but as I have grips for many of my film based Nikon SLRs there is no reason to believe that it might not help on the Zfc. Apparently, Nikon are not going to offer their own grip to customers in the UK in the near future. I saw this grip along with an alternative for the £35 price that I suspect the Nikon grip will not even come close to if we ever see it here and thought I'd give it a shot. It arrived within 24 hours of ordering. It is a great piece of kit. The Zfc has what seems to be quite a flimsy plastic base (see my review) and this now puts a very substantial metal base on the underside of the camera. It fits perfectly and the whole grip feels to be of very sound build whilst being quite light. I love the fact that it maintains the silver base. It isn't perfectly flush with the base of the camera but this seems to have been by design to "cradle" the camera base. The grip itself has a good "rubbery" tactile feel whilst fitting in with the aesthetics of the camera. After playing around with it on the camera and without it, I have realised that with it on I have much better control of the shutter speed dial as it easy to hold the camera with the grip with my two lower fingers and adjust the dial with thumb and index finger. I hate to say it, but I just can't get this level of control on the shutter speed dial without the grip.I love it that Nikon did not build a grip onto the Zfc and left it as a flat left pane as with the original Nikon FM and FE (I have no idea why people keep attributing the design to the FM2 as it is clearly closer to the original Nikon FE). But this is a really good add-on that you can use or remove as you please. If you have forked out nearly a grand for the wonderful Zfc I can't see why you wouldn't spend £35 for this excellent addition. Put it on when you want the stability and take it off when you want the camera to look really cool :-)! It doesn't get better! Brilliant!!! Well done SmallRig!

Good value accessory
This item fits the camera well, matches it, and provides a much improved grip. Pictures are sharper and more likely to avoid camera shake

A perfect fit fir Nikon Zfc
Nikon should have made one of these for their Zfc, but Smallrig have come to the rescue of big-fingered photographers with this beautifully made metal grip. It looks really elegant, perfectly matching the look of the Zfc and fitting perfectly. Worth every penny.

Getting a better hold.
The Nikon Z fc is a great camera and its retro styling takes it into class of its own. However as with the style of this camera they can be hard to hold, and may slip out of your hand. I am not a lover of neck straps and tend to hold my DSLRs in my hand secured with a wrist strap when walking about, and ready to shoot at anything that takes my fancy. With this excellent add-on, this camera has even got a lot better. Along with my wrist strap and the improved grip of the camera I am more confident to carry the camera in hand. Thank you SMALLRIG for inventing this grip and would recommend it to others to try it out.

Great product support
I have just taken delivery and first impression is that it improves the feel of the Zfc, as others have said. Unfortunately, soon after fitting the bracket I tried to fix it to my Peak Design tripod, which also claims to be Arca Swiss compatible. It looks like either the tripod or the bracket isn't compatible after all. I've spent a few minutes fiddling to see if I could get a good contact but no, by about a millimetre, the bracket is too large for the tripod base plate. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem?I'll keep looking for an explanation and should be using the bracket a fair bit over the next week, so will update this review, and score, if appropriate.UPDATE. SmallRig got in touch asking me to describe the problem. Prompted by their message, I took several photos and looked at the tripod more closely. Turns out the two screws on the top plate, which presumably stop the supplied Arca Swiss camera attachment from sliding off, are too tall to allow the SmallRig bracket to sit properly on the tripod. Removing the screws solves that problem and doesn't appear to cause any other problem, so I can now use the bracket as planned.Having had it attached to my camera during a busy six days at Fairford air tattoo, I can add to what others have said about it making a world of difference in how the camera feels in your hands. Top product.

Good hand grip
The hand grip is a must for the Nikon ZFC. It fits on to the camera really easily and secures well. This is a product worth adding to the camera to ensure you have a great grip at all times.

Great Addition to the Zfc.
This grip is an ideal addition to the Nikon Zfc and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of buying it. Possibly my best buy from Amazon.
