I recently got into fountain pens for my creative writing, but I soon realized they don't work with cheap notebooks. There are a lot of fancy brands that get bandied about when you look for paper to use with fountain pens, but they all came in small amounts of pages, smaller sizes, or weird line setups (at least from what I could find on amazon, not any convenient stationary stores around me). Then I found this listing.The notebooks are sturdy, and the cardboard looks fine. When I started writing I ended up filling a whole page before I even knew it. No bleedthrough at all, ink looked great (I had picked up a bottle of Noodler's Baystate Blue and this was the first time I really started to see the color the way I had seen it in reviews). Paper feel was good too! Not frictionless where my pen flies all over the place, but not rough...just enough that my pen flowed where I wanted it without getting out of control.Ultimately these were good notebooks for a good price. I will certainly be buying more in the future.

These are nice thick notebooks. High quality covers. Perfect for my daily journal. It is the quality I expected for the price.

I write for both personal and work purposes and I’ve always focused on the quality of my pens but I did not pay much attention to the paper quality. I decided to try these notebooks based off of the great reviews and was not disappointed. The quality is top-notch. The notebook is aesthetically nice to look at, very sturdy, a bit heavy and the pages are smooth with a bit of weight to them which helps with ink bleeding. Various pens work well. I would repurchase in the future.

The media could not be loaded. The weight of the paper is great without being overly heavy or thick, nice texture too. The color of the pages is slightly yellow, which I like. The lines are tiny dots, which I also like. Sturdy rings holding nicely. I would say this is a quality note pad, would buy again :)

If you are going to use this with a fountain pen please be aware, you will notice that your strokes will feel rougher. To be fair the bleedthrough was similar to Rhodia 80gsm, both papers showed the same amount of bleedthrough with Noodlers Baystate Blue (Stainless Steel M-Nib) (which is arguable a tough ink on any paper). There was no bleedthrough with Diamine Oxblood (M-Nib), Sherwood Green (M-Nib) or Imperial Purple (M-Nib) or Pilot Iroshizuku Kon-Peki (F-Nib) or Ku-Jaku (M-Nib), all gold nibs on either a Lamy or Pilot pen.

Been using this same company's 5 x 8 notebooks and loving them, so I thought, for a different project, I'd try these larger ones. Terrific, quality of the covers, the paper, the weight, everything, they are the best notebooks ever and I am an old man who started writing regularly when he was 7. Highly recommend them.
