Bhagavad Gita: Modern Reading and Scientific Study

I am only into a few chapters of this amazing volume, but could not resist or wait to send my review until I finished it. The ‘First-ever Scientific Study of Bhagavat Gita’ by the illustrious author Sri. C. Radhakrishnan is a compelling rendition of the most celebrated Hindu scripture, with an in-depth scientific analysis of every stanza, presenting the reader with a sensible and rational explanation of the recitation. As the title deservedly claims, this is the first ever edition of Gita that I have read, that unravels the intensity and the density of situations as they evolve in the chronicle and offers the students a logical and philosophical rationalization that they can easily comprehend. As one who made a living using science as a persuasive basis for my vocation, yet having made aware of its limitations, gradually becoming fascinated and then humbled by our ancient Vedic wisdom and the tenets of their teachings. I feel convinced that our scriptures through their narrations have acknowledged our present scientific perceptions millennia into our past. Sri Radhakrishnan has generously presented to the modern reader an immensely lucid and scholarly clarification of that treasure as the Sacred Gita had bequeathed to us.

C. Radhakishnan is a great scholar the Gita commented by him is very scholarly. it is very intellectual. In any case, it is very good to read it. I have gained much more insight into the Gita.

A beautiful book and worth reading

1:The examples and explanations for all 'Aadhaya/Chapters' is very good and imaginable compared to real world.2:Must read book/maha kavya for current generation to get to know that the Morden science believes in energy and at that time the same energy was called as supreme entity/ god.3:Even as we all know, "energy never be created nor be destroyed" the same applies to the word "supreme entity".4: The Geeta has the perfect explanation on the Devas, Rishimuni, Humans and for everything that is imaginable to anyone.5: and for this edition I must say that "DON'T JUDGE THE BOOK BY ITS COVER".6: Mr. C.Radhakrishnan has translated and has given very explanation on Geeta. So dont miss this book.7: look, Im just 20 and I loved this Edition. Must read for the current generation so we can make our country United and someday our entire world!

Great read for everyone irrespective of religion. Does not propagate any specific religion. A modern and scientific interpretation of the concept of oneness. Clears a lot of myths related to religion.

The book begins as any other Gita commentary but then it goes deeper and deeper. This is high Eastern philosophy and practical wisdom and I found this to be above all religious considerations. Hope the world comes to that vision fast. This book can guide and be the standard textbook for the future.

Almost humanly impossible effort. I have read many Gita commentaries but this goes beyond all.Extremely thankful to the author for presenting the vast depth of wisdom of the East before the world.
