Wonderful Purchase and Great Festool Quality
When you need precision, the Festool 491594 Quick Clamp turns heads. This robust clamping tool excels at securing workpieces for cutting, sanding, or routing. After extensive use, I can confidently say it offers unmatched versatility in any workshop. One standout feature is its impressive clamping thickness of 6 5/8 inches (168mm). This generous capacity accommodates various workpieces effortlessly. Whether you’re working on a thick wood slab or a delicate veneer, this clamp adjusts to meet those needs.Another advantage lies in its ratcheting mechanism, which ensures easy locking and quick release. I found this incredibly helpful during lengthy projects where switching between tasks can slow you down. Instead of fumbling with stubborn clamps, I could swiftly change setups, enhancing overall efficiency.Integration with the MFT table is seamless. It locks into the holes and channels without a hitch. I appreciated this feature during my recent furniture project. Utilizing the MFT table alongside the clamp provided a reliable platform for precise cuts while keeping everything stable.Using the clamp with guide rails greatly expands its versatility. The ability to insert it into the bottom t-slot of guide rails permits limitless positioning, a game-changer for complex angles or curves. I enjoyed working with different setups, achieving angles I previously found challenging with standard clamps.Compatibility is another strong suit of the Festool 491594. It works seamlessly with a variety of Festool machines, including KAPEX KS 120, MFT/3, TS 55, TSC 55, and TS 75. For anyone deeply invested in the Festool ecosystem, this clamp is a perfect addition. While the clamp performs well, adjustments may take a bit longer for some users. It requires a learning curve to fully understand its best use cases. With practice, you’ll find that the clamp delivers consistent quality and reliability. The durability of the construction stands out, too. Materials feel sturdy and can withstand rigorous shop environments. Having used similar clamps, many have plastic components that break over time. However, Festool’s choice of robust materials ensures long-lasting performance. What I love most about this tool is its ability to enhance workflow without interruptions. Switching from one project to another, I enjoyed the consistent clamp performance. It has made every job go smoother and with less fuss.

Typical Festool quality and functionality
Bought a pair of these for my Festool track saw and they are a perfect addition. Easy to operate and hold strong. I have yet to be disappointed in anything purchased from Festool . More expensive, yes but consider the cost if their products were made here in the US with the same quality. I don’t mind paying for quality. I don’t find it in products from China.

Excellent clamps
Love these. If I'm cutting thin sheets of plywood, they aren't really needed with the Festool track. However, I also cut 2-by lumber and these work great in holding the track in place for a clean and accurate cut.

Super strong clamping pressure and quick/easy to use
Expensive but you get what you pay for. The holding power on these clamps are pretty insane. Just one clamp is usually enough to hold most work pieces in place, but when you use two it's not going anywhere. They clamp in mere seconds and are super easy to use with my MFT/3. The quick action mechanism makes it super quick to change out work pieces. Just keep mind that if you use the bench holes at the very edge of your MFT/3, then you have to slide the clamps in just right and have to be in a certain angle so it doesn't interfere with the aluminum of the table. I wouldn't call that a down side obviously. These are seriously the best clamps you can get for your bench. Totally worth the price tag.

Amazing quality tool. Worth every penny.
I've been gradually building my Festool system over the last five years, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how I've not bought a pair of these clamps in all that time. They're way heavier duty than the screw clamps, and of course, a lot more convenient to use. Expensive, agreed, but superb build quality.I have a pair of the DeWalt clamps too, which I got when I first bought an MFT, thinking they would work as hold-downs on the table (which they do not.) I kept them, thinking they'd be useful for clamping rails, or for clamping to the sides of the table, but, to be honest, I never reach for them at all. They're really bulky, and they're pump action like the Irwin Quick Grips, and, like the Irwins, you need a lot of squeeze to get any kind of clamping force, and that's hard on the hands, day in, day out. The reviewer who recommends them so highly over these must have a different set of criteria than mine. Fifty bucks for a clamp is a lot of money, but this is a whole lot of clamp. I'm ordering another pair.

Good clamps, just fiddly and hard to insert/remove
The Good- The clamps hold pieces firmly.- They are versatile in that they can be swung to any angle easily, and can be used in dog holes, in the track saw track, or to clamp two or more boards together directly. The Bad- It's not so easy to insert/remove them from the dog holes and require lots of unobstructed space to maneuver them into/out from the dog holes. If Festool would make the bend a little thinner, it would e much easier to insert/remove them, and do so from a steeper angler, requiring less space to maneuver them.- They are expensive, hence the medium value for money rating.Bottom LineThey're clumsy to move around but wonderful to work with. Unlike most Festool products, it isn't so obvious that they are worth the premium over other brands that make similar clamps.
