I don’t write many reviews – but had to add something for this product. I have been using a different type of jumbo ice maker for over a year and it does okay, but was hard to fill, makes 4 ice balls and you cannot stack. So I took a chance on this product and it works GREAT.Take the tips from others and you will get great ice. I just pulled out 12 perfect ice balls from this mold.1) Use Distilled water. You can boil and reboil water, but distilled water makes great ice balls.2) Don’t fill past the fill line. I had 2 where I did this to see what might happen and the water expands the lip of the funnel so takes a little extra work to get the ice ball out.3) Run cold or warm water over the mold before you try to get the ice out. It helps separate the ice from the mold and makes taking the ice out very easy.Overall – great product.

Still use them every time I have a glass of whisky. It’s perfect.

My only complaint on these is they are too big for whiskey. This cube is absolutely huge and completely takes over my whiskey glass. I have started only filling them halfway and sometimes I even break the half cube in half again. If you're looking for cold whisky these will do it. I just like to take it down a few degrees without diluting and these are really too big for that unless you're drinking a huge glass of whiskey.It works well, though it is a bit of a pain to fill as you have to do it slowly. The cubes are relatively easy to dislodge. With Poland Spring water they come out a bit cloudy, but I'm not looking for aesthetics, especially because I've been breaking them for my whiskey glass.

So easy to use and makes great ice balls. Perfect you can make 6 at a time with the easy fill opening on top and they just pop right out when done. We have a lot of bourbon parties and in a few days, I have dozens of ice balls ready as I have two units. They appear to be a little expensive but well worth it, get what you pay for !!!! Especially if you drink top shelf !!

I learned not to fill it past the clearly marked fill line if I want to avoid knocking ice off the top (outside the mold).Some folks have said they have a difficult time removing the ice. I offer what we used to do back in the days of metal ice cube trays.1. Run cold water over the bottom - and over the top for this tray without getting water in the fill hole. After you remove the top, one or more will slip out easily.2. Sometimes a gentle twist of the tray removes more.3. If there is still ice in the tray, the bottoms have a silicone "button" you can push to pop them out.I like my Irish whiskey and Scotch so much more now, thanks to these ice balls. At the pace I usually drink, one ice ball lasts for two drinks. Sometimes three.

Water overflows while freezing. Balls stick to the top and bottom.

You have to be very meticulous in making sure each section of the mold is seated and then not flex the mold as you set it on a flat area in the freezer, otherwise a few of the sections will leak water leaving you with half a ball. I am going to try small clamps to see if this helps hold the seal better, but pay attention to seating them. The balls do not come out clear, and often they start to crack right away when they hit the warm air. They still make drinks much colder and last a long time.

I have purchased these in the past… They used to snap/press together and worked reasonably well. Reordered these recently… they look identical, but do not snap at all. Therefore, they leak all over the freezer. Am I missing something? Window to return these has closed so I am just throwing them away. Beware!!

Very convenient compared to the individual whiskey ball. Well worth the price for 6 cubes at once and especially the easy spout

Works well, I mean it's an ice tray. The ice might be a tad too big for my glasses, but seem to do the job.
