Q: would one be sufficient for 19 chicks?

I bought this kit for my 15 quail chicks. That is good enough even if they all are eating at the same time. For 19 chicks you would have to refill a feeder more often.

Q: What is the best system to keep ducklings from contaminating (pooping in) their water? I have 6 Pekin ducklings.

Put the waterer on a stand and move the water on the other side of the cage as the feed so they don't get the feed wet from bill drip. Thanks for the great question! The RentACoop Team
