Great for aquariums, too. Read details for a thorough review.
* Note: I reserve 5 stars for products that exceed expectations in quality and/or price. This product is exactly what is described and is priced accordingly. My Report:The lights are definitely water-proof. They are epoxied inside a thick, solid plastic housing. The wires are a little short, so you'll need to plan to heat-shrink wrap the power connections. On back are fitted rubber boots that cover the back of the lights and allow for tightening. if you looke at the picture, you'll see that the ends appear darker blue, those are actually blue caps over the screws. It appears to me that they will work very well for cars or boats without worry that they may get water in them unless you break the heavy duty protective cover. They are very bright, work well with a dimmer and appear just as bright with a 12v .5 amp supply as with a 2 amp supply. The blue can be seen from every angle except directly from the back of the light. You have to be looking very directly down the top of the LEDs to see the hot spot. And they are very bright. Everything in the room glowed blue when I had one lit for the test. Will they work for a coral aquarium?I believe the LEDs are actually white LEDs inside a blue colored plastic houseing. They are really bright outside the water, but aimed down into a 30 gallon aquarium (30 x 12 x 18 inches deep - 76 x 32 x 45 cm deep approximately) the brightness seems to dim very quickly. My neon tetras really glow at the bottom of the water, but to the eye, the bottom is pretty dark. The lighted area is very narrow where the light hits the bottom. The light is very sharply focused, so using them in a 20 gallon aquarium will require at least four and possibly six to cover the bottom of a 20 gallon aquarium. You would need two or three in parallel on each half of the 24 inch aquarium hood. On a 30 inch x 12 inch 30 gallon hood, you would need at least 6, 2 parallel on left half, center, and right half. It would probably be better to have at least 3 in parallel for each section. They are definitely water proof for aquarium water and they float. I have no fear at all about mounting them permanently under water, fresh or salt. So, if you have a decoration they can hide behind, they'll make a great back-light inside the aquarium. They work well with a dimmer. I have a dimmer that handles up to .7 amps and it had no problems running the lights at full brightness even when I had both lights tied together. They worked just as well on a .5 amp power supply as they did with a 2 amp through the dimmer (or directly.) The dimmer never got hot, but I did not measure the current draw. Will they work for corals? I don't know. The lights lose their brightness quickly in water, but the neon fish glow very well from the bottom of the tank. The blue isn't as deep a blue as I remember coral lighting at the pet store.I am pretty sure that if you use enough of them together, they can work for some of the lower K corals, but I don't think they will work for some of the higher K corals. Will they work for a glow-fish tank? These lights will run circles around the little blue lights Walmart sells for about $20 each. Even one of these is far superior to the WM specials, but these lights do NOT come with power supply. You'll have to get one. If you purchased the WM lights and they have gotten wet and ruined, I think you will be extremely happy with using that power supply and switch on one or two of these. If I don't use these for anything else, I will definitely attach one of these to an air stone and hide them behind some grass for a beautiful blue fireplace in the back of two of my aquariums. Are these water-proof? I don't know how deep they would go since I'm not a diver, but based on my observation and experience dismantling other water-proof/resistant devices, these lights are good for at least 50 meters if not 100. They are very well made. Are they worth the money? Individually, these lights appear to sell for about $8-$9 each and I purchased them for about $14 for the pair. Based on other LEDs I see for sale and have purchased myself, I believe that they are well worth the money from about $7 to $12 each. I think you would get your money's worth if you paid up to $20 for the pair.My rating: They are very well made. If I could, I would give an additional 1/2 star for the quality. They are very well sealed but come with rather short wires so, while they are easy enough to connect to, they don't leave a lot of room to get the connection away from the LED cases. Outside the water (Their intended purpose) they are really bright and easy to see from any angle. They are competitively priced. They don't undercut the competition and they are certainly not over priced.I only give 5 stars if a product quality and features plus price really impress me. This product is competitively priced, but it did impress me with the quality of the water-proofing. My real rating is 4.5 stars. Yes, I would buy them again.I have had no interaction with the seller so there is nothing to report there.

Great Bargain, Blue Color Similar To Most LEDs, Above Average Construction
So far, so good. I am using a pair of 8" blue lights under the hood of a hot turbo diesel truck. The wires on these lights are of a heavier gauge than most LED lighting. I've tried using flexible strips under the hood but the wires melted. These have held up fine in +100 F temperatures even while towing big hills. The lights are as bright as I would expect. A nice feature I've not seen on similar trailer marker lights are the colored end caps that cover the mounting screw ports. My only grip is the same as what other buyers have mentioned. The mounting plate is a flimsy piece of rubber. The rubber is scalloped to allow the wires to run flush underneath, but the rubber is so flimsy it is difficult to work with. Stiffer rubber, or rubber with a plastic or metal insert would be preferable. Otherwise, these are great quality for an unmatched price. I am considering more to replace self adhering LED strips that keep failing under my running boards.

Great exterior blue LED's for travel trailer/RV
I bought the 2-pack of 8" blue LED strips for under $15 and they are a great value. They were installed under the each exterior door of our travel trailer and they provide excellent accent lighting.I would buy them again.

Doesn't last long
After spending hours installing these lights 4 little bulbs went out and look terrible. I haven't been able to find the time to replace them with more durable lights. find something else as these will disappoint you.

Cheap but didnt last long
Some of the lights have partially stopped working. I installed 4 of these on my boat and have noticed that some sections of the strips have went out. Only a few months old.Update I'm in the process of removing these and replacing them. All 4 lights are only about 10-20% working.
