Best product on the market.......better than magic jack, better than ooma system.i owned a magic jack, and compare to the nettalk system nettalk is the best of the two!you pay for the nettalk product and you get a full year service after that you renew it for $33.00 a year.do not have to worried about paying tax every month. with ooma system you pay tax every month, besidesthe price you pay for the product,this is my second year with nettalk and so far no complaints as yet.thanks nettalk!!!

Device works well so far, I have no complaints. If a person is looking to save on phone bills I think NetTalk is a viable option. No dropped calls or lost of voice when speaking.

I wanted to use the unit to talk on my Clear net service. I am having problems with people not hearing me, but I can hear them well. Some days it works okay for one or two calls. I am having it troubleshooted by Clear.

When I bought this service last year, it was very good and it was working as advertised. On March 2013(a month back), I renewed my service for whole year by paying 35.47 for US/Canada and 133.78 for International add on. It worked for a month and then suddenly I cannot call India, after waiting for 45 mins in call he asked me to send email to c2 at nettalk. com. I sent they said they reduced the minutes to 600 per month, so its 2 cents per minute but most of other online websites like rebtel lets me call for 1.5 cents. So I asked them to cancel my account and give me a refund, but without notice they cancelled my account and saying that they cannot refund the money.I sent an email again, saying give me the money or re-enable my account and no reply from them. called today to customer service after waiting for 1 hour and again he asked me to send email to customer support. What a rip off these people, because of me, 3 of my friends bought this plan this year and they also have same problem. We will not continue this service again, I am lookin for justice in some way so i am writing here. Also I am going to write whereever I can.Please dont buy this, I promise one day you'll have a problem then you will not be answered by nettalk. I am going to get vonage.

The end of last year I purchased 7 of these devices and activated 5. My intention was to port 5 business lines to voip so I could make my brick and mortar store lines mobile. I paid About $20.00 per line to port them and received email receipts. They were to be ported from Brighthouse cable co. They never were. After inquiries they said all the info was faulty. I checked all the info and resubmitted it. I received an email saying it would be done in 7-10 days. That was 6 months ago. My new requests have been ignored. So far I have ported one number to another voip company and it works well. I am out 7 times the cost of the units plus $20.00 each for a porting fee. I HAVE NEVER WRITTEN a review on Amazon , pro or con. NetTalk has caused me to do so. PLEASE DON'T BUY THEIR PRODUCTS - YOU'LL BE SORRY.

In the hopes of saving you the pain and aggravation of dealing with this product, I am warning you, stay away from NetTALK!!! There is no (ZERO) customer service and believe me, I have tried. Hours wasted on hold only to be disconnected or worse, lied to. Get a piece of string and two tin cans. It will work better then this waist of plastic.

SOONER OR LATER IT WILL STOP WORKING AND YOU WONT GET ANY HELP FROM NET TALK. YOU WILL SPEND HOURS ON HOLD, AND WHEN YOU FINALLY GET TO TALK TO SOMEONE , IT WONT MATTER, THEY WONT BE ABLE TO GET YOUR PROBLEM FIXED. AND DONT EVEN BOTHER SUBMITING A REPAIR TICKET, THEY MIGHT E-MAIL YOU BACK IN 3 WEEKS. I SUFFERED WITH THIS PRODUCT SO YOU DONT HAVE TO.

This company is a joke. Poor service, no refunds even if you pay 2 years in advance. I bought three in one year and they all failed when there support people tried to activate the units. Buy a Magicjack instead.

You cannot beat this for the price and it works with our satellite internet service in the middle of nowhere, while every other supplier says theirs won't. Support and customer services suck. They seldom answer your support request messages. But what do you expect when you pay less than $50 a year, eh? They could improve their phone number selections. Here in Canada, one area code covers a huge territory. And it can be long distance within the same area code. It doesn't matter for us calling out, but it may matter to family and friends who do not have free long distance service. But I suppose it is a good way to encourage them to get NetTalk as well.

Pros: The cost of the service is very cheap. It is very easy to set up. For the first year, I didn't have too many outages. If you don't care terribly about the reliability of your service, then this is for you.Cons: Technical support is terrible, only available through instant message or email tickets. It is also a bit sketchy, as they asked for my username and password so he could log in and check my settings! I'm on my second year of service and I've been having to restart the device a few times in the last 2 weeks. I am considering getting magic jack next time.Price when purchased: 35$ it was quite a bargain. I"m not sure how happy I'd be if I'd pay the current prices.Important note: When renewing service, PRICES ARE IN USD! May sure you have a credit card that doesn't have foreign transactions fees. Called Nettalk. Upon "getting started" and choosing a phone number Alberta was not available. Kept saying Unable to process request at this time. Please try again. The rep said I will have to choose another province. Why? Having a Nettalk means my family and friends have to pay long distance to get a hold of me...20 blocks away?Returned. Will try Magic Jack.

Works well.Voice mail, email notice, call display are well worth it.Some problems connecting to remote numbers in the past but problems are resolved now.Well worth cutting the cord to use this voip phone service.
