Perfect for *ahem* alternative uses
I ordered this as a throat numbing spray to inhibit a gag reflex. It’s super easy to use, just a couple of sprays, wait 30-69 seconds and your numb as a diabetic with neuropathy. It is highly effective and works like a charm, goodbye gag reflex! The taste is mediocre, it’s definitely the cherry cough medicine taste but it disappears soon enough. The effects of it lasted quite a while, I did not need to reapply. It’s a fun magic trick for date night.

Hurts but really helps!
This real good sore throat pain reliever... however, you may want to dilute it with water and use it more as a gargle! The first time using it, I sprayed directly on my sore throat and it brought me to my knees from the pain! My right ear was burning. After the pain subsided it seemed to relieve the throat pain well!I finally just started spraying it my mouth (not directly on the sore) and taking a small drink of water, swishing it around my mouth and gargling the mixture and spitting it out! That helped subside the initial pain of the spray and was a very effective pain reliever. I can't say it was numbing as it was more just paine relief that lasted an hour or two.

Taste horrid but effective.
It taste absolutely horrible but was effective in numbing. If you’ve ever been to the dentist and got a root canal and they had to numb your mouth that’s how it feels without the injection. Only fact though is it numbs but only for a maybe 10-30 minutes it’s not hours long and again it taste absolutely horrible and be mindful of where you spray as when I first sprayed I couldn’t figure out how to swallow or breath but overall it works.

Didn’t Work on My Throat
Numbed everything EXCEPT my throat 😭😭my tongue lips and whole mouth is numb. My throat that actually needs the numbing/relief gets nothing out of this.

Game changer when sick!
Life saver and works 1000%. Feels like a bunch of lidocaine in back of throat and the peppermint has a dual benefit, cleared my nose up so I could wear my cpap comfortably while being sick!

Powerfully numbing, very short duration
I have THE world's strongest gag reflex, making flossing my back teeth impossible. It's so bad I can't even handle wearing whitening trays or even strips. But, I've been trying to take better care of my teeth/gums. At the dentist, they use a numbing gel on my soft palate to help make it thru a cleaning, and suggested an OTC benzocaine gel. The only problem is that applying the gel is, itself, a trigger, so I can't do it myself. So, I started looking to throat sprays. This was the only affordable non prescription benzocaine containing spray I could find. When first applied, it is pretty powerfully numbing. Really similar to that mildly unpleasant puffy tingly feeling you get from the anesthetics used for fillings. It doesn't 100% stop my gag reflex. But it does make it significantly better, better enough to floss all my teeth. The super intense initial feeling goes away within just a couple minutes. Which, for my purpose, is a good thing. For another good half hour i still feel a little bit of numbing but without any of the unpleasant feelings. Probably enough that I would have adequate pain relief, if I had pain. Probably lasts long enough that I'd be able to get thru eating a quick meal if pain was interfering with eating/talking.The taste is... not pleasant at all. but it's just for a few seconds.Very good value, it's a huge bottle and you can only use 4 sprays per day. I wouldn't use this for a minor throat pain/irritation, dry scratchy throat, it's just too intense and short lived. But it's good to have on hand in case of that rare super intense sore throat or canker sore. And, of course, in my situation I'll be using it pretty frequently.
