It works great! Very quiet.

I like the filter. It has done a great job of clearing the haze in my tank, even after a water change. The old filter just wasn’t working well. This one has definitely made my tank cleaner. It is a little noisier than my last filter. Has taken some time to get used to but over all, it’s great.

at 1st the filter was noise but once it went into its full cycle it went super quiet and my tank is super clear... awesome filter.

Pros:It’s a nice filter for my 10 gallon tank. It’s pretty quiet if you keep the water level topped up. I like the sound of tinkling water if you leave it a little lower. It does the job and the filters are super easy to change.Cons: the LED light does not work properly. It’s meant to blink if you need to change the filter. Mine was blinking minutes after installing it. I took the sensor out, checked to see that the battery was in correctly. Checked the filters. Everything was correct and water was flowing properly. Put the light assembly back in, instant blinking. I took it out and tossed it. Just check your filter every 2 weeks.

I used this for my 10 gallon fish tank and it works great. I moved and misplaced mine and found it after I received this one LOL. I threw the old one away and I do recommend this product. this is my third one of these filters. Never has the red light ever come on . I just change the carbon filter every month. After cleaning the tank the filter never starts back up again. Have to keep it in water to keep it running. cleaned tank this morning and again filter will not start up even after trying to prime it. Will look for a different brand today. Also the charcoal filters have very little charcoal in them and only last a couple of weeks.

Our cherry shrimp population in a 5 gallon tank was struggling due to fry being sucked up into the internal filter that we had. We purchased a prefilter along with this HOB and it's doing amazingly for them. We have this filter on our 10 gallon with two endler guppies as well and it works very well for both tanks with zero noise out of either of them.Update: About a month in and everything is still working great. We are shrimp grandparents as of this week too! Even the tiniest fry enjoy grazing on the prefilter 😊 So thankful we made the switch.

They’re hard to find in pet stores, this is the best one I’ve had to date.
