Half loaf joke
Is this a joke? I know gluten free bread is expensive but this is also what looks like half loaves to me. See photos. It’s beyond dry (it does suggest you toast it, but this feels stale and gross) And crumbly. Gluten free baking is difficult which is why I bought the bread, sourdough no less. I would have expected a loaf (12 pieces) a loaf- a loaf per loaf, but there are 10 pieces plus a baby crump thing on the end of each one you can’t possibly count as a piece. Really there are 8 full pieces and two small ones and a like a dough tester crump in the end. Like bread skin Or something. It looks like someone chopped and bagged 4 half loaves to me. Which would be fine if I knew I was paying $50 for 4 half’s of gluten free sourdough which I would never do. The last photo is the whole thing out of the bag. For real it starts like that in the middle. And you can’t’ return your $50 bread so don’t buy it.

Expensive but one of the best
Dense, whole grain, GF bread. This stuff wont cause crashing and feeling like crap as can happen with other GF stuff. I love all the flavored ones; olive, fig and buckwheat. Original is fine but I love the others more. Great for warm open face sandwiches, garlic bread, toast, etc. As with all GF stuff, it needs get toasted or warmed before eating for best results. I wish it did not cost over $10 a loaf, as that is the only factor that limits how often I can buy it. Please support this business so they may have the ability to increase production, lower shipping & lower to more competitive prices!

Mold in bread
I have been purchasing this bread for about a year and a half-since spring of 2022, mostly when Amazon has prime day sales because it’s so expensive. I noticed Young Kobras raised the price three dollars in the time that I have been purchasing this bread. I think this was a recent price increase this year, 2024. I’m not complaining about what many other people complain about because I’ve had to deal with gluten-free bread for nearly 20 years now. The weight does not bother me, the fact that it doesn’t brown in the toaster easily does not bother me. I immediately put it in the freezer and I toast a piece when I want to eat it. As long as it feels toasted that’s when I further prepare it and eat it. To me, I’ve been doing this so long I don’t have a problem with it. I do have a problem with the cost, and, my purchase from this summer showed one of the loaves to have mold in the bread. This led me to contact the company and they did let me know that it looked like mold and they offered to reimburse. They were very kind in the email. I appreciated this and felt that three slices was not that big of a deal so I let it go and I thanked them for their prompt response and honesty. The problem is, I ate a piece out of that loaf that did not show any mold and I should’ve been advised not to. I have been sick with asthma and sinus problems and headache off and on on for five days. I’ve also felt incredibly tired and have been in bed off and on. I hit up Google and saw that these symptoms are common for allergic reaction to mold ingestion. So this has affected me in a very negative way. I eat very healthy and a year and a half ago, I found this bread. It felt like I hit the lottery. Because it’s supposed to have organic ingredients and it’s fermented sourdough which is really good for the body. I tried all four types and have come to like the olive sourdough bread, and I love the fig and the standard bread. So because of my ‘attachment’ to what I have never seen available before (I have not found any other options as good as this), I thought things would be fine and I would resume purchasing these loaves. Then I woke up yet again feeling awful. I googled the name of the company and the word, mold. And I was led here to the comment section. This is obviously not a one time event and they are not using full disclosure in the description. That crossed the line for me. If you’re going to charge nearly $33 for two 1/2 loaves, there better be no mistakes, no contamination and they better be exactly what they say. That’s where I’m at with this. I am sadly not going to buy this bread anymore. It’s not worth health problems. When I contacted the company, as I said they were responsive but I felt as though they could’ve given me a great deal more information on being cautious and immediately sent out a couple of loaves. That would’ve been what I would’ve done and I have to go on that. They were kind of in their messages but kindness, although very important to me, does not equate to full disclosure, information for prevention of their customers getting sick, and any other proactive action. I don’t think they enforce enough of their own standards for better hygiene in their bakery, to avoid contamination. Perhaps I’m not informed correctly somehow, but I have decided not to go with this company anymore. The actions speak more loudly than words. Hopefully I will find a local company.

Delicious but Half Loaves
For a gluten free bread it’s delicious. It’s dense and one piece will satisfy my toast cravings for sure without the bloat. When toasted it has a churro consistency: crunchy exterior and soft chewy interior. It tastes like yummy sourdough and I love the ingredients. I also love that it’s made then sent out immediately. I only use it as toast. For a sandwich, it might feel a bit stiff. Now the downside: It’s expensive and they are small. It’s clearly a half of a loaf and not a full loaf. For the price I want the full loaves. Debating on ordering again after these run out because of what you get for the price. If it’s 2 full loaves, definitely. Not sure i will re-order on these half loaves.

Stomach ache from psyllium
I want to love this bread. It tastes like rye bread which is my favorite . But twice I have tried it and the crust has cut my mouth — it’s that sharp when I toast it even lightly and i think the psyllium is an issue because I get terrible pains in my lower left side which I always get when I take in psyllium . I know my family members will enjoy finishing this off and it is a good bread but just bit for me :(

Delicious sourdough
I love this bread. It's so tasty and has a great texture. Doesn't make me feel lousy the way some GF breads do. It does need to be super toasted - it's very hard to eat untoasted - but I've found that's the case with almost all GF breads. The sourdough taste is strong, and delicious. I've also tried the olive-herb and the fig, and they are both really good too! It's expensive, but I am happy to pay extra for high quality food that's not mass produced. Shipping has always been really fast and easy. I LOVE that the bags are compostable. Give it a try!

Nasty
This bread is gross. It is gummy. Toasting doesn't help, nor does baking. Amazon should be ashamed to sell this. The seller will not chat.
