Let the battle begin!
We purchased these soldiers for our son who is seven years old. It has tons of soldiers, equipment and various vehicles to use in a game. They are very detailed and have a variety of poses. He's learning about strategies and even doing math because he keeps track of his troops and how many get impacted by one of the vehicles and other teams. All the items fit nicely into the container it came with and there's no problem getting them back into it.Our twin daughter played the game as well. Since there are four teams, everyone can play. They are using their imagination which is a huge plus. I would recommend this set and give it as a gift. The pieces do have some fragile bits (like the tip of a gun) that may break off. However, there are so many pieces and it doesn't happen often, so it is a great value for the money.

True story
Picked this up as a filler/gag gift for a 10 year old boy's birthday. I opened and wedged some Xbox game cards inside to surprise him as he loves to play Xbox. Much to my surprise, he completely ignored the gaming gift cards and proceeded to set up and roleplay out battlefields for 3 hours! yes 3 hours! I even got in on some of the action (at a complete disadvantage lol). It felt really good seeing a kid be a kid and not glued to a tv. Even bought a second one for another birthday.

Fun
These are fun, but they do break easily.

Fun for Army-living kids
Very fun! Bought it for my nephew, who loves DDay.

Hours of Battle with my son
I got this for my son for Christmas, perfect gift for a five year old boy. There are hundreds of little soldiers, jets, boats, helicopters, tanks, everything. They are color coded into four separate "armies" so you can battle. The map that you play on is just a thin plastic sheet, it is smaller than it looks in the pictures and to be honest I don't think it will hold up for too long, but I don't know a single toy for little boys that does so I am not that worried about it.The big container can easily fit everything right back in, just throw it all in after you are done playing, which is a huge plus to keep things a little more clean around the house. Overall a great (and cheap) toy that will give little ones hours of entertainment setting up an executing elaborate battle plans!

The colors were great on the map
The map was a little smaller than I was expecting but overall my kids were happy with it. Colors were brighter than what the picture shows I was expecting it to be muted colors they were not. Plenty of army men to go around I'll be stepping on them for the next several weeks thanks to my boys. Overall this was a good purchase for us.

Lesser quality
I bought two different sets for similar price and similar items included. This set, was the same price, give it take a dollar or two, but the items were not as nice a the other one. None of the items,ie, trucks, tanks, choppers have movable parts. They are all melded together plastic. And more cheaply made. The mat is terrible. The material it's made out of doesn't allow the folds to lay flat. My grandson played with it but mostly played with the other one as everything was more mobile. Not a bad set just needs the price lowered by about $20.
