The best iPhone yet.
Fabulous little phone (and yes, it is little compared to the behemoths out there!).Fits in my trouser or shorts pockets, handy to hold and use in one hand.Perfect weight.Fast and does all I need it to. Battery holds a good charge — and since I do not play any games or watch movies on it, the screen is an excellent size for my old eyes.Coming from a Touch ID iPhone the Face ID took a bit of trial and error to get right. In many ways I do still prefer touch ID — the double clicking the right button is awkward. Sometimes in very bright sunshine Face ID fails completely and I have to enter my passcode.I love green — so chose that instead of my usual (Product) Red. The green is darker than I would have liked — akin to the Apple Watch 7 Green — only "green" in the right lighting. Otherwise it appears mostly as black. (I did consider exchanging it for a Red one, but decided to stick with the Green.)Next time I'll probably go back to Red again.Only thing better than this little marvel of a phone would have been an iPhone Pro Mini!

lovely phone
It's such a good phone even in 2025, I have been using this for the last 2 years and never felt like the small size might have compromised the performance. The battery might not be on par with other big phones out there, but it lasts all day, and I would advise carrying a power bank if travelling. The midnight color is also very pretty, looks better without a phone case.

Unique small phone
What a great little phone! It's so refreshing to find a small but very well specified phone, when almost all other phones out there are like behemoths with their 6 inch plus screen sizes. Apparently its predecessor - the iPhone 12 mini - had a few issues with poor battery life - but there is no such problem with the 13 mini. I easily get through the day and reckon the battery life is on a par or possibly better than the iPhone 11 I had before. The screen is excellent with the highest pixel density of any iPhone. All other necessary elements are present and correct: waterproofing, wireless charging, facial recognition, premium materials, magsafe, great sound quality, 5g etc etc, so there really are no compromises with this phone. The size is actually its greatest asset though, because it is so refreshing to be able to use it one handed and place it unobtrusively in any pocket. If you want a big screen buy a tablet, if you want a phone buy this.

Good piece of kit
I wanted to upgrade my old phone but didn’t want something that resembles a small tablet. I opted for the iPhone 13mini. Firstly I love the size. Slightly.narrower, slightly longer than the iPhone 7. It took a while to get it all set up. I had to get a new sim from Vodafone. But transferring all my stuff from my old phone really was so easy. Basically you put the two side by side and the 13 just grabed everything off the 7. Apple have made it easy peasy. Once I got the new sim I was able to sign in to my Microsoft, Google and banking accounts and away we go. The face recognition is great. The camera definitely an improvement on the iPhone 7 and it’s fast and battery life is good. I does every thing I expected. Well done Apple. This review is based on a week of use.

Solid phone but some quirks.
Apple has always had me with their computer ecosystems and being I wanted was of use with my Mac and iPad I just felt leaving my S9 finally for this would be a good bet. It’s a perfect size and I could only wish Apple will bring back this form factor with a USB C. As for the screen, you couldn’t fault it, apples retina resolutions have always been some of the best, and dispite not having 90 or 120hz refresh rates, the software and hardware optimisation just leaves most things you do feeling smooth and responsive and if coming from a 60hz display already isn’t much a shame. A slight disappointment is that Apple doesn’t have a screen colour temperature setting similar to Samsung phones, I found coming from the chilled whites and vibrant colours to a more warm drawn out display a bit jarring. I tried a accessibility workaround for colourblind, allowing you to change the screen hues but just have left alone and gotten used to. The cameras dispite being a general golden standard for most has some issues that bug me. The focus is so software based that everything caught out of focus looks hyper blurred and popish, for those who prefer a more natural untouched image this isn’t the camera, for those who just want a easy to take photo with a insta ready feel to them then this is up your alley. As said before the phone is so well optimised there are barely any noticeable hiccups or ram issues, background apps reload quick, 5G is what’s expected and Face ID is as good as Apple has always made it out to be but a Touch ID in the power button like the iPad would also be nice! All in all a solid phone you can’t go wrong with and with 5+ years updates you can be sure it will be the last you’ll need for a while.

Great phone
Never been an Apple fanboy but Android phones are ALL just too big now, so after quite a while of carrying an android phone as a pocket computer, and using a cheap nokia as an actual mobile phone, took a punt at the iphone mini. Apart from the obvious benefit of being able to sit down without having to take the thing out of my pocket, the whole iOS environment just fits together a little bit better than Android. Great screen, solidly built. Waterproof, wireless charging. Love Wallet for travel. Apple Pay is much slicker than Google Pay (gave up on that after a week). Face ID works very well. Plays nice with Amazon Video and Music, and my Sony bluetooth speakers and headphones. Siri might not have the voice recognition chops of Google or Alexa but as an AI assistant, it is genuinely useful without being intrusive. The phone part isn't just an after-thought either, it actually works very well as a phone - even captures and integrates voicemail. Need to watch data usage if you're not on an unlimited plan because it doesn't automatically reset every month... I think that's my only niggle. "They" say that this might be the last mini version which would be a shame, and surprising since all but two of the people know who have an iPhone have the mini 12 or 13.
