The threads are specific to the Ettore tools. The Ettore is somewhat heavy, very high quality, and perfectly suited for doing windows with their tools. Take a look at the Ettore 31028 professional duster. That is most likely what you are looking for.

This is the ONLY POLE Ettore sells that has a click lock feature. None of their other poles have it. Look at the photos.... very revealing! Believe what you see, not what the manufacture says! The heads will only fit THIS pole.... no other! Their other poles only screw on.... no button on any pole EXCEPT THISI ONE!. No buttons on any of the heads Ettore sells..... they only have a hole for the button on THIS pole.

Yes, this pole is made of Aluminum..It's very sturdy, and works great. I've used Ettore products for years, and they are all good.
